In skelly (today), sophomore QB Trent McKinney had a 65-yard scoring pass to Rogers....in the next series redshirt freshman quarterback Brady Gustafson connected with Rogers for another 65-yard TD.

For a new coach (or old coach) it usually takes a few weeks to pick a new QB. With eight kids attempting to be #1, I would say we will be lucky if Stitt can make sure by the end of spring. My guess is the top two or three will be selected and it will take fall camp to be certain. I will also guess the top three will be close and eventually one QB will stand out and become the man. Our #1 backup player should see some action as he will be needed in case of injury. In some ways this is a "good" problem to have with an abundant amount of good QB's to pick from. Other ways it slows down the progress of the eventual #1 guy.

Of course we have 10 other starting roles to fill and another 11 backup slots needing attention. Maybe that's why they call it practice.
