Wayne and his family loved Montana. Believe me, if Montana could pay $800,000 a year, he'd have been the head coach there for 30 years. But, we can't. And it's not the administration's fault as others have pointed out.
As for fans, yes we're sorry to see him leave. He was the conference's best coach, head and shoulders better than anyone else. Are we pissed? Not in the least. Quite the contrary: we're extremely happy for Wayne and Lisa. They'll always be GRIZ.
