Was pass coverage especially good yesterday?

Was UM's pass coverage especially good yesterday, or was the Weber qb just bad at finding open receivers? The Weber qb had alot of time on multiple plays, but often seemed to be unable to find someone to throw to. As the game went on, he was under more pressure, but early on there were times when he had considerable time.

I doubt that the Weber qb will ever forget the name Wagenmann, altho he'd probably like to.

Not only was coverage especially good, so was the tackling. With the exception of one short pass that the RB turned into a decent gain, tackling was on the money all day long.

Weber is not a good team so I am not going to do cartwheels. Look at some of the INT's...the QB was not hurried - just threw it 2 feet over the receivers.

Good confidence builder for the team going into Saturday though.

Freshman QB with no running game, so no play-action to slow the D down. Makes it tough because the line can pin their ears back and the safeties can play deeper and help the corners. Makes Jordie's heroics against Cal-Poly, USD and EWU all the more impressive because they knew he had to throw and he kept plays alive long enough to do it. If we can run the ball against the Cats (no easy feat, no matter what the posters say) it makes life so much easier. (I am a master at stating the obvious.) GO GRIZ!!!

I'm not doing cartwheels either, but while most other teams got to pad their statistics with Weber, ISU AND UNC, the Griz only got Weber....so, take the stat-padding where you can....

Not in conference-only stats.

Is Weber shitty? Yes. Are people overreacting to this win? Yes, of course, its e-griz for fuck sakes.

That said, the Griz gave up 6 rushing yards, 6!! I don’t care what you think of Weber, that is flat-ass impressive. In contrast, the cats gave up 188 yards rushing to Weber and 500 yards of total offense.
