Walk-Ons????????????

Dan Mathes????? The kid from GFHS that was I think a 2nd team all conference in AA and didn't make any of the all star games. He maybe wants to walk on but I doubt the GRIZ or anyone else has asked him to.

I heard it personally from him, both the cats and griz want him to walk on.

Yea, I have been hoping that Tiger Harris (Kalispell) can walk on and contribute to the Griz in 2005. I hope he is recovered from the shoulder (?) injury that bothered in high school. Josh Remington was a Kalispell kid that walked on initially, earned his scholarship, and made good contributions to the Griz.

Go Griz!

grinfan20 I know you know alot about the game and I know that's what Dan M told you but I've talked to two Griz assistants that said he's not big enough, fast enough, tough enough or dedicated enough to the game to waste a locker on.

mslman56 I still say Ryan was scared to death of Hoff en what ever . What will he do when all the big kids play like that? wet his pants?? The point is the dude "never" stood up for him self. And if you were on the field neither did you! (your pants wet) The Flathead kid was jumping off sides for a reason to scare the crap out of the kids across the line from him.. It worked.. I say the kid from Flathead is a better payer. Bobcats got a good one... :fist:

Ive seen Tim play before, he is a great athlete and has good size, i think with some work he could be a hell of a fullback and a great special teams player.

Congratulations Tim

I noticed that McGillis wasn't on the list. Is he still planning on walking on?

I think he has a lot of D1 Basketball programs checking him out right now. If he would have signed with Griz Football, he probably would have never known what D1 Basketball offers he may have gotten. I don't think he has ruled Griz Football out, I think he's just keeping all options open. McGillis is playing some good basketball right now.

There was a scholarship for McGillis. He respectfully didn't take it. My guess would be that it then went to Utterback of Fort Benton, But not for sure.

I heard Jake Larson is enrolled and is working out with the team. He's gotta be considered one of the top "walk-ons" if not the top walk on. What did the Griz do for recruiting WR? Could somebody fill me in? Thanks

Gabe brown was never a walk on. He was a non qualifier. He intended school at the university, made the grades, and signed a full ride scholarship. Worked out and practice with the team. Unfortunately he suffered depression, and the medication made him basically, a zombie. He left the team due to those problems.

Speaking of scholarships, does anyone know if K Brown, the qb is on a partial or full ride?
