Vs. Sac State

Mack deserves more playing time. I’ve been very disappointed in Steadman. Mack earned a chance for more minutes. There’s no way the Griz win that game without an Mack Anderson doing what he did. Steadman seems to get the ball down low and hesitate Mack seems to get it and go. That’s a big difference in getting to the rim. Mack just can’t stay out of foul trouble and has a harder time playing defense it seems.

Whatever happened to DCH and Henderson and Brown I never see them playing much

I’ll tell you what the death of Sac State was, it was Brian Katz technical foul. At that point I think we were up 9 but they were still hanging around and hitting some big shots. We pushed it to 11 and then I think we got a bucket on the undying possession.

By the way, I find Sac States commentator comical. He said he reads EGriz. I hope he sees this 😂

Regarding Mac Anderson. He did play an excellent game tonight and I agree he does deserve more playing time. Two of his 5 fouls were total BS. The one foul, I think it was number 5 was a payback foul because Katz complained so dramatically in the previous offensive series when Espisto was hammered going to the rim. Mac was totally vertical on that last call and he knew he didn’t want to foul. Just because the refs missed a call does not mean they need to do a make up call at the other end. That’s on them and they should not penalize a player because of their mistake. But it happens all the time.
Mac’s deficiencies are his lack of upper body strength. He knows it, the coaches know it but he just doesn’t have the upper body torso to add weight even though he eats 5 meals a day. Espsto although 2” shorter carries 25 lbs. on Mac. Mac runs the floor as well as any big we have on the team. His steal and getting rewarded with a slam on the other end is a good example. I think the real book on Mac may be written on Saturday when they play Sac again. He could be our hidden gem, let’s hope. On Saturday, go Mac and go Griz!

DCH was in street clothes again last night :(

Sounds like he had a injured arm or hand prior to season and was starting to come back from that when he got concussed. Now he’s out again suddenly. Seems like he’s battling some injuries, greatly affecting his game.

Were it not for Covid, our team could take in a Knicks-Kings game tonight.

The Knicks are mongrel dawgs. They may wind up being the biggest story in the NBA this year. The Kings are much improved as well. Maybe it'll be on TV.

What else is there to do in Sacramento?
