Vigen to Washington State after Frisco?

A track record of getting rejected by multiple candidates.

Hell, they once had an AD reject them 8 hours after TAKING the job.
I can think of three head coaches moving to FBS with success from the bobcats. Remind me how many griz coaches have?
If it is indeed true that Vigan was the sixth choice, imagine how far down the list Hauck would be.

Hauck probably would have been a lot higher than Vigen at the time because he had a track record while Vigen didn’t but Vigen has done a good job and at this point is more deserving of the WSU opportunity.

Good point, just busting Everetts balls.

Vigan would be a good hire moving up to the FBS. He’s done excellent recruiting and put the best team together in Bobcat history. For the person that said Bobby is on WSU’s radar…..you are mistaken. He’ll be off the radar in Missoula when his contract expires in a couple years.
He is a great coach, but he is still riding some recruits from Choate. The next couple years would tell you a lot more as he is going to have to rework a lot of things with Tommy gone.

Kaligas is interim head coach at WSU now. Smith? Oregon State and Michigan State. The several other assistants who have coached with him? Leave or Lange? The Griz DE coach who had been at Yale?Pflugrad? Ohenicie? Was Pease with UM early? Do you exclude Dennehy and Glenn? T. Hauck. The DC who went to NFL a year ago? Dave D?, the ST coach who went Wyoming and now been at various big schools. Hudson?Ferriter, did he coach here before going to UNLV? Maybe not. Schillinger? Coaches that went with Bobby to UNLV. Rosenbach? Did Marty M coach at UM after college? Did Beers coach anywhere? Stitt? Has any Cat coach ever gone directly to head college coach?

If Vigen does leave, which right now nobody seems to have any clear idea with what's going on at Wazzu, whoever the head coach for the cats is next year is gonna have their hands full. Check out their 2025 schedule:

@ Oregon
vs. South Dakota State
vs. San Diego
vs. Mercyhurst
vs. Eastern Washington
@ Northern Arizona
vs. Idaho State
@ Cal Poly
@ Northern Colorado
vs. Weber State
vs. UC Davis
@ Montana

Those are some tough road games next year at Oregon, NAU, and UM. Plus they also host SDSU and Davis. Not an easy schedule by any stretch of the imagination. They could potentially start the season 0-2 and back themselves into a serious corner.
Davis will fall off big time next year

WSU is an interesting situation for sure. They are remote, it seems like they want to cut costs, and their coach left for what is also not considered a great program but WSU should have still have the most resources and support to run the new Pac conference. It might not be a bad gig for an FCS coach.
With that PAC label and cash gone they will really struggle financially and in recruiting. Boise, and OSU are both better run programs they will have a hard time competing with going forward. I see them being a CSU level program.

How about head coaches. Position coaches and coordinators are a long list.I can only think of two from the griz. Hauck and the guy that went to USU. Both stepped on their dicks. The cats have had Lubbick, Sweeny and Choate. All have done well

Who are the tough road games other than Oregon?

Only because he hasn’t wanted leave UM.
Analogy:
They say if you put a frog in a pan of tepid water and put the pan on a stove over a slow flame, the frog will remain in the pot until cooked. The frog hasn't wanted to leave the pan.

Bobby is the frog. He may be feeling some heat.
The flame is bad, dumb fan discontent.
Bobby is smarter than the frog.

I gotta say, for all the crap that some Griz fans give the Cats for hiring Choate and then Vigen, they did a great job finding the right guys. Choate set the foundation, and Vigen added to it. If Vigen does end up leaving, the next coach will be set up nicely to keep the machine running.
For the sake of Pete! This is Egriz-stop making sense.
