Vigen to Washington State after Frisco?

Good Lord you are naive to think that. Tommy leaving alone is a huge setback to the program. Don’t care who the backup is, TM is the main reason the Cats are in the chipper again. There is plenty of money from donors in Bozeman, but you have to replace the coach and players who hit the portal (already rumors of several). Not an easy recovery. MSU isn’t NDSU, who has one hell of a coaching tree. Would one of the assistants take the head job? Unlikely they get serious consideration. Both probably follow Vigen. Recruiting takes a hit as well. Anybody thinking differently is very naive.
Yes, Tommy is THE reason they are where they are this season….he is that good. Without him they are a 4-5 loss team.

Bobby Daly is going to leave MSU? Are you clueless? That guy is the bigger cat you will ever fond. Also lets hear who these guys who are rumored to leave? Tommy is damn good but our defense is top level and so is our line/running game. We have had consistent progress since 19 and I don’t think that randomly ends now. Heck in 19 we made it to the semis with Rovig. Also the MSU job is going to be the best opening in FCS and better than some FBS options, we will have no problem getting a great replacement. How the hell does recruiting take a hit when our program is at an absolute peak. What guy would rather play at any other FCS school at the moment, winning is damn fun.

15-49. Nobody gives a single shit about coaches with a 23% FBS winning percentage. Nice fairy tale though.
I don't think you understand the financial predicament the WSU program is in. They will not be able to afford anyone coaching at a higher level than the FCS. Of the FCS coaches in the Wazzu region, which is not many, BH is the second best option after Brent Vigen.

Someone who likes winning championships and having an impact in the NFL would go NDSU then SDSU over MSU in that order.

BH is not an option with any team at the FBS level.

Even among the MSU coaches nobody knows if Vigen was offered by WSU. For obvious reasons there haven’t been any announcements even internally ( at least to position coaches) but everyone is speculating and starting to wonder what next year looks like.

That’s just the reality of college football. Hopefully MSU conducts a search to find a capable replacement, but Coach Vigen is my all time favorite.

Vigan has to know this is a distraction for his team getting ready to play in Frisco. If he is not being considered or not interested, he should get in front of the rumor and say so. Otherwise, people will assume he is a serious candidate for the job.

I gotta say, for all the crap that some Griz fans give the Cats for hiring Choate and then Vigen, they did a great job finding the right guys. Choate set the foundation, and Vigen added to it. If Vigen does end up leaving, the next coach will be set up nicely to keep the machine running.

It wasn't a distraction for NDSU last year against us.

I’m hearing rumblings that Garza and Housewright are in the mix should Sixx move on.

WSU is an interesting situation for sure. They are remote, it seems like they want to cut costs, and their coach left for what is also not considered a great program but WSU should have still have the most resources and support to run the new Pac conference. It might not be a bad gig for an FCS coach.
Lets be honest: there is reasons why the previous coach left wsu: lack of resources. They have had only a few winning seasons since Leaf left.
