That's what happens when coaches chase players away.Yet it's Vidlak on the list, not McDowell.

What exactly happens? That's what happens when coaches chase players away.
Easy, he got an offensive staff that knew how to utilize his strengths. At Montana, it was round hole, square peg.How would you explain the fact that he "played terribly" while here and now is a conference Newcomer of the year and a Payton finalist after he moves on? Better team? Better offensive scheme? Better coaches? I certainly can't explain it but blaming the coaches sure seems like the easiest path. That's not what I'm doing mind you, just more rhetorical than anything. Regardless, good for Sam. Always seemed like a great kid.
apples to oranges. mcdowell got injured and didn't play most of the season.Yet it's Vidlak on the list, not McDowell.
The other dude took us to the national title bro. What would you know about it? Did Vidlak start 4 or 5 games and show what he could do? The answer is no. As an athlete I dismiss the instant gratification syndrome fans have. One game doesn't make a player, 18 games does. Consistency and experience are not earned in 6 quarters of football, nor are they lost.
Defense took us to the NC game. I know. I was there. The other dude took us to the national title bro.
I’m just saying we don’t make it to the title without some aspect of Clifton either.Defense took us to the NC game. I know. I was there.
Bro
Dont Kick 2 Bergen has to be a parody account, right?I’m just saying we don’t make it to the title without some aspect of Clifton either.
Vidlak had his chance and for whatever reason he didn’t take the job. Cliff did.
I’m happy for Vidlak that he’s doing well now. But he certainly wouldn’t be the only talented QB to not make it with this staff. Just your argument is ridiculous considering we all saw how it played out. And the season changed when Cliff went in.
Yeah it's a pretty obvious troll but people keep feeding it.Dont Kick 2 Bergen has to be a parody account, right?
Maybe he simply plays in a system that is better suited to his play style?Good for Vidlak. I'm not sure if this is a referendum on the coaching staff here but Vidlak was not good at Montana. Cliff stole the job and ran away with it literally all the way to the Natty.
Let's not forget Vidlak put up some stats but his team is still 7-5 in the Southland and didn't make the playoffs. Maybe he plays better with the pressure off. Maybe he needed the embarrassment of losing his job here to light the fire.
Hauck showed him the door just like Vidlak and just like he will Fife. And then quit the team to transfer elsewhere.
Hauck didn't show McDowell the door. He left for the Portal. You obviously don't know what occurred. You wouldn't be able to figure it out if we gave you a link.Hauck showed him the door just like Vidlak and just like he will Fife.
This is an example of what was being talked about on the pod. Hoops is the chief manipulator. He spews fake narratives communicated by the coaches. Is there any QB in Griz history with a higher winning percentage than Clif with a similar number of starts?Hauck didn't show McDowell the door. He left for the Portal. You weren't the only one who went to the playoffs last year, Bro.Defense took us to the NC game. I know. I was there.
Bro
Mellott is 5 times better and 10 times more valuable than McDowell was, in my view. You weren't the only one who went to the playoffs last year, Bro.
We all saw the swagger that McDowell brought to the Offense along with his running ability.
McDowell's game is very similar to what Mellott brings to the kitties.
