No way Vernon Adams returns to play at Eastern, coach Beau Baldwin said Wednesday. #ewufb

I just can't imagine they'd turn away one of the best players in the FCS... sure they probably feel burned by him, but if the object is to win games, he's their best option.
I couldn't even imagine the team chemistry if he went back. Hard to throw the ball if the guys in front won't block. Subtraction by addition.

The dude burned bridges, not only with the coaches but with a good number of the players. If VA does not pass his final exam, there is a better chance that you will see him playing at a lower division than at EWU.

Can he do that?

He still has a year of eligibility remaining. My understanding is that it probably would be an issue to a lower division under the NCAA, but not so if he were to go the NAIA route.

So he could end up back at EWU!

Just because they play a lower division of sports doesn't mean you can be dumb. In fact it's often quite the opposite. NAIA is not JC, that would have made a funny joke. As it is, it's just an unwarranted slam to a bunch of former MT high school athletes.

What in the post mentioned NAIA and dumb together?

For VA's sake, I hope he passes this last test. It sounds to me, he may have screwed himself if he does not pass this test. As opposed as I was in the way Baldwin handled his xfr to Oregon, I certainly would understand EWU not wanting him back. Does his talent override the risk in team chemistry and sending a bad message to rest of the team about commitment? I would not risk bringing him back to EWU.

He's been released. so he prolly could go anywhere that would take him if its up or down if its FCS, its much more difficult. If its a NCAA school, he could go to division II or III without having to sit out a year. If he flunks the bone head math course required for his generally studies degree that may be somewhat difficult as there are academic standards to me met for transfer......

It's implied by saying EWU is an NAIA school. To me, comparing anyone to EWU is as insulting as you can be.

He will not be at Oregon for sure.

Hey, BigSky33, what's the stock market going to do in the next 12 months? :?:

No shit.........if Adams does not play for Oregon, every egrizzer will be eating crow on this one. :thumb:

The question was whether Adams would be back to play for EWU, not whether he would play for Oregon. Note the title of the thread. After BigSky got hammered, he then said that Adams wouldn't be at Oregon. Lots of people have thought all along that Adams wouldn't play for Oregon, or even get to Oregon. Seems odd that Adams would be studying hard for his test tomorrow, if he was coming back to EWU or wouldn't be at Oregon "for sure".

Hell, he has taken the test twice already...he should know most of the questions...

I don't think knowing the questions is the problem. I think its knowing the answers that is what is tripping up...

That's what I was thinking too. :thumb:

It's hard to believe a senior, who is supposedly that close to getting a bachelors degree, in ANYTHING, could be that stupid. Says lots about EWU. EWUs Forrest Gump? Is this REALLY his third time taking the test?
