Has anyone heard anything about him, are they targeting the Cat/Griz game for his return or is it more serious than that?

My guess he is being held back to make the best recovery he can because we will need him in that game as well as the playoff run. That would make getting a top 8 seed awesome and bye week so we can get some guys back healthy.

I hope he makes a better recover for Griz/cat than Dan Moore did last year. Hated to see such a good running back leave that way.

Unfortunately Van has had a very difficult injury history. In fact, that's why he was moved out of the RB position at Marshall. He just missed too many games.Once the "injury bug" bites, it's tough to beat sometimes.

2011- sports hernia and hip surgery.
2012 - Nerve problems in arm and shoulder.
2013- ankle sprain.

CV, I don't think "history" has anything to do with Van's injury. The way he got rolled up on against Poly, every member of the Griz' football team would have been out this long with that injury. The Poly d-lineman fell right on the back of his leg and Van never saw it coming. It was nasty.

I concur but he has had a difficult history. My point is that, with a player like Van sometimes you got take in stride. When ever he is on the field, enjoy it. He has "special" talent but he is injury prone. BTW, I watched him play three years in person at Helix HS.

You trying to inform everyone here on some secret insider information and throwing red flags about? O.K. I.m cool with that. Injury history you say? So did many others I've seen. Is this supposed to say that the Griz should never have accepted either Van or Henderson into their ranks because of their injury issues? Well, that's a decision out of either of our hands, I would assume. That was an Athletic Department decision. I'd leave that up to them while you prance about saying how important you all are, then. Keep on playing your life as if it exists on a stage for all to see and hear; we all know how mighty important you are and how ultra sensitive you are. I mean, if it weren't for you and all, nobody would know anything about anything, now would they?

There is nothing " super secret" at all about Van's injury history. That's my point. It's common knowledge. Van has special talent but he has been injury prone through out his career. Was it a calculated risk to recruit him? Of course it was. But as you said, someone in the athletic department made the decision that his potential reward out weighed his risk. I agree with that decision by the way.
