... I can only speak for myself. I would not be pleased w my Griz if they were favored by 42 and only led 15-0 for 90% of the game. Look how many teams beat Miss St much much worse, including South Dakota who beat them 45-10 the week prior
Honestly, the Bison had the Marker game coming up this week, and I'm sure they were well aware they could beat Mo State comfortably with probably 50% effort. Sort of a mini-bye week.
Kinda agree both ways. How's that for sitting on the fence?

In most cases, when you're up only 15 through most of the game ... that qualifies as "letting the opponent hang around." Generally a bad idea that can turn around an bite you in the butt, with just a couple of bad/weird breaks going the wrong way.

But I can also see the other side. Missouri State (1-5)* is so bad, that -- with a huge game coming up -- a game against them would seem, mentally, like as a glorified scrimmage.

* Mo State's only win was against Western Illinois, which has won zero games this year and had a losing record last year.

Bison were in complete control the entire game. They had a couple of drives stall out. Probably should have scored a TD on a drive that stalled on the Missouri State 13 yard line and then subsequently shanked a 31 yard field goal.

Missouri State was doing nothing on offense. They had like 21 yards total on the ground.

When your defense completely shuts out a team, you aren’t letting them hang around. That game was never in doubt.

I like to think of NDSU as "the team with a heart". That's why it was so close.

Based on the superficial evidence, almost everyone who has voted picked the SDSU upset ... and then picked one other.

I don't suppose that's the case -- not everyone makes two selections -- but that's sure what it looks like right now.

Wow! This didn't look like it had any chance to happen for most of the game. But Stony Brook got the ball late, made two big pass completions, and kicked a late (21 sec) FG to upset Villanova, at 'Nova. Stony being unranked, could see 'Nova drop enough to help the Griz move up.
