With four games between ranked FCS teams, this can’t help but be a good weekend for possible upsets. Plus, there are some other interesting matchups. For example, Harvard is ranked, but Princeton had lost only one game (a fairly close one at Brown). The SIU-YSU game is weird since we have ranked #16 YSU (3-3) vs an unranked 2-4 team that has lost those four games by a total of 8 points. Anybody else think SIU will come out with their hair on fire at home?

The Towson-Villanova game is interesting just because it matches up two 3-3 teams. Each of them has one loss to a mediocre FBS team and a bad loss to a weak FCS: ‘Nova lost to Penn (2-3) and Towson to Elon (2-5).

Hampton on the road at #17 W&M could possibly be a trap game, although probably not. But W&M has been a bit up and down and may not get up for a non-conference game at this stage of the season.

On paper, Chattanooga should handle Wofford. However, two of the Wofford losses were to FBS teams, so they are a bit better than their record … and they generally play better at home.

(As usual, underdog on the left.)

With so few votes, you can't really talk about "trends." So what's most interesting is that no one yet thinks that Princeton has any chance at Harvard, or Hampton at W&M. I tend to agree about Hampton, since their winning record is a bit mis-leading, being against weak opposition. But Princeton at 5-1 looks like it could be a legit challenger.

Interesting that the Towson vs Villanova upset has taken the lead (sorta). I guess we're all still waiting for the wheels to come off a 'Nova.

No one has picked it for an upset, but the Princeton - #15 Harvard game comes on at 10:00 am.
#8 NDSU - #18 Indiana State on at 11:00.

Probably won't hold up, but right now my two picks are working:
SIU leads #16 Youngstown State, 20-14 (midway thru 3rd Q).
Towson leads #23 Villanova, 18-14 (5 min. into 3rd Q).

I'm be damned! I gottem both! Can't believe it.

Towson beat 'Nova 28-21 ... had to survive a last-second on-side kick attempt.
SIU beat YSU, 38-31 ... in OT.

"Had it all the way."

Well, not exactly, but ... whatever works. :thumb:
