With four games between ranked FCS teams, this can’t help but be a good weekend for possible upsets. Plus, there are some other interesting matchups. For example, Harvard is ranked, but Princeton had lost only one game (a fairly close one at Brown). The SIU-YSU game is weird since we have ranked #16 YSU (3-3) vs an unranked 2-4 team that has lost those four games by a total of 8 points. Anybody else think SIU will come out with their hair on fire at home?
The Towson-Villanova game is interesting just because it matches up two 3-3 teams. Each of them has one loss to a mediocre FBS team and a bad loss to a weak FCS: ‘Nova lost to Penn (2-3) and Towson to Elon (2-5).
Hampton on the road at #17 W&M could possibly be a trap game, although probably not. But W&M has been a bit up and down and may not get up for a non-conference game at this stage of the season.
On paper, Chattanooga should handle Wofford. However, two of the Wofford losses were to FBS teams, so they are a bit better than their record … and they generally play better at home.
(As usual, underdog on the left.)
