Upgrade the Pregame Hype

The pregame hype traditions we have kinda suck. Have there been any talks about updating what we do? Do we really have to spell on G-R-I-Z every game?

After going to the Griz/cat game in Bozeman this year and realized how much better their pregame hype is. It’s really not even comparable.

How about we have the entire student body run to the M, do an upside down keg hit, then run back and playing "Enter Sandman" as they come back into the stadium? We could finish it off by playing "Jump Around" between the third and fourth quarters.

I agree with what everyone above has said. It’s really not that big of deal. However, when you have recruits and visiting families that go to both a Griz and cat game, it does start to make a difference if the game opener is so corny it turns the crowd off

I personally like the heavy metal intros better but not Metallica since Virginia Tech has that dialed in and Bozeman decided to rip them off. Bozeman also uses a clip from Yellowstone that’s cringey. I’d vote for some AC/DC.

The pregame has been the same for many, many years! I don't foresee anyone changing it. Years ago, it was the best pregame in FCS now it is way down the rating! Changing pregame should be one of the easiest things do but UM is not interested it seems? I used to make sure we were in stadium in time for the pregame, now, I make sure I am in for the National Anthem. Pregame is boring!

I thought I heard a long time ago that the players vote for the run-out song - I could be wrong though.

I think now is the time make the change. Old vs new. You have to engage the younger crowd and get a new generation of fans excited. Games are expensive to attend for many. Travel, lodging, food, etc. The game is clearly the main venue, but it’s like every sporting event anymore. People pay for the entire experience. Go to a LV Knight’s game or an NFL game. People aren’t just there for the game.
