Yep, RJ started 3 or more seasons ago and has barely played since then. Not sure why Turner hardly played even with all the RB injuries and Lorenzo got in the coach’s doghouse and couldn’t seem to get out.
Both are just guys who are not good enough at this level.
 whatever you say home. They'd probably start on any other team in the big sigh.

Or not. I laugh every time someone thinks every guy down the depth chart could start for any other BSC team.

Too bad about Turner. I thought he was a "can't miss" coming out of high school. Won the 400M in State AA his senior year with a time of 48.8 which is very impressive for a 210 lb. high school athlete. He had all the physical tools you want in a RB prospect plus the breakaway speed. Just never seemed to make his way up the depth chart for one reason or another.

I guess the only real weaknesses I saw him have coming out of high school was a lack of agility or lateral movement. His north/south game was outstanding but the east/west was probably more concerning than I thought. Not really a kid who could cut on a dime. But man that speed and physicality was real.

Both guys are free to try to accomplish that feat as they wish.

I agree on this Turner Kid. But i have experienced The kid that was always in the coaches office, running errands, staying after practice, ,sucking up etc and a kid that deserved to be ahead, but never made it. Coaches get caught up with favoritism likes and dislikes( kinda become buddies)and can't see the forest for the trees. The Position Coaches are the worst at that...I am sure you former Athletes have experienced this in your career. TOO BAD

How many times have you experience our 185 Lb running back trying to run between the tackles for a first down, and got stuffed for (No Gain), Where Was Drew??

Almost like you have to know how to play the game to play in the game. 🤷

Yet somehow as a team they rushed for almost 140 yards per game with true freshmen running backs.….weird.

On the sideline because he wasn't better than that 185-lb freshman.

Agreed: That freshman is a special kid. Don't make him a Troy Anderson... Let him Grow like a Tree, Not a Bush..

Is that a euphemism? Or a dig at Choate's horticulture skills?

Also, I'm sure Bergen would hate it if he got a shot to play in the NFL, like Troy.

Shots fired. Only went from 174lbs as a senior in HS to a walk-on to a 240lb All-American and forever in the record books, no big deal. Any anti-Bush rhetoric will be dealt with swiftly and semi-justly ‘round these parts, Hoss.

[spoil]I know you didn’t mean Tim, but I have to make my obligatory quarterly post about TB#91[/spoil]

Well, i quote YpJp uetake a Japanese Olympic champion and a Oklahome State teammate of Gene Davis from Missoula: Uetake said the difference between American Wrestlers and Japanese is Americans try all different Take Downs and take down no one. I have one Take Down and Take down the all the world Americans Grow like a bush, I grow like a Tree. Now Don.t come back with a (Bonsai Tree)???. Ha.

I heard the book on him is that he didn’t have the playbook down and made a lot of mistakes early on and could never get out of the dog house. Coaches didn’t trust him. Too bad, I agree that they should have used him in short yardage situations because of his power and size, but they chose not to for some reason.
