Not so sure MSU is winning any recruiting battles against UM, as the Griz have won 3 of the last 4 brawls and still place more players in the NFL than the Cats.
I'd say about 20% of their fans are able to see through their hate and accept this. The rest will rationalize it with injuries or claim stolen signals, or helmets that don't fit right, and still boast they were the better team.MrTitleist said:Not so sure MSU is winning any recruiting battles against UM, as the Griz have won 3 of the last 4 brawls and still place more players in the NFL than the Cats.

We have to be more creative unfortunately. I'm confident that there are a number of players that would've chosen Montana the last year or two if we had those extra schollies and were able to offer.
Seems to me that what hurts most is we have more talent on our team and in-state kids see the Cats as a quicker path to getting on the field....at UM they'd possibly have to sit, whereas at Bozo they'll get on the field much quicker. Bully for them.
or they want to get a better degree..

You don't need to disrespect those kids who I bet are trying to do everything in their power to get better for this program. So you (and many other posters) don't see any value with MT players on the team?
This thread isn't about who is better: MT recruits vs out of state recruits. Don't know why so many on this board try to make it into that. Everyone agrees to recruit the best player wherever they are. This is only about the kids both Cats and Griz are both recruiting in state with the same walk on or partials opportunity at both schools. Many have chose the cats so far. The facts are it is hard to get out of state kids to walk on or with partials. Glad we have some MT raised alum coaches back who might be able to help swing that back to our side before Feb 1 of this year and for surely by next fall.

You don't like the choice of coach? Well TOUGH STITT! Get your Stitt together or you'll earn the nickname "Stitt for brains".Big G said:With most of Coach Haucks players. No, but are you aware, everytime a kid chooses MSU an angel gets its wings..... :thumb:

If people on this site would donate $25 a season to a simple fund called "Egriz for students" I believe there would be enough funds available to buy all the books for every football player...(I was not a college student so I am speculating) I see a lot of comments on here of people talking about book cost, so they must be expensive. If not books, then the fund could be used for anything that could help our recruiting. Persons close to the team could identify these needs and then post to EGriz so everyone would know where the money was going...ie Brint W. I guess the way I look at a fund such as this is; we EGrizzers would be like a parent who is helping to pay for their children's college. I am sure it wouldn't be a lot of funds and would probably be a hassle, but it would go along way in supporting our walk-on program and especially our in-state kids their 1st years in school. I am sure NCAA would have some sort of issue, but who knows? OK, so I am nuts...talk to me.
