yeah I agree it was a stupid call.

Is your thinking that coach is taking too much of a risk with Canada?

well why risk the chance of a fumble? it was obvious they weren't thinking about scoring so it is just smart to take the knee and end the half.

Interesting half stats (from ESPN).
UND has nearly 200 years of passing offense (199, their QB is 18 of 31), but NO running game (27 yds). Their two turnovers have hurt, but the bottom line is that they can move the ball, but can’t turn it into scores.

The Griz have 229 passing, 132 rushing … and Van didn’t even get rolling (37 yds, with 82 for Canada). JJ is 9 of 11 passing (19+ yds per completion) and the Griz are 4 of 4 on 3rd downs. Oddly enough, UND “won” the TOP stat 17:08 to 12:52.

Pretty damned impressive half for the Griz. Now they just need to keep it up.
