UM Lines Outplayed SDSU and Played Well

Both sides of the line outplayed SDSU. The OL and TE's pushed SDSU off the ball from the get-go and consistently. A couple of the good SDSU interior DL gave us a few issues at times, especially early. Not sure about later.

The DL, and the Backers (they work as a group) had a nice day. They can hard at SDSU year. Backers like Solo were incredibly fast and tough. It was quite amazing, I thought. We were missing a backer too.

The d-backs were very good and had very nice coverage. A few glitches. Having Loud back was huge. He played well, but also seemed to inspire the others. Best coverage I recall this season.

The UM offense can't be so very prolific without a good, and probably very good, OL. First and second team all-conference OL players. Frosh All-American OL player. Depth. National Academic FCS player of year. Wow! Cats had only 1 OL in top two all-conference teams and a bunch of mentions. I heard the OL coach is terrific. Bobby says that too.

Let's hope the lines and the team keep up the high level of play and keep rolling. I believe they will. What an exciting time. So happy for the team. They deserve it.

Spot on analysis. They played very well, and persistently well. Obviously not flawlessly, as you pointed out we got beat at times, the obvious occasion occurred on the 4th down failed conversion early towards.the goal line. Overall it was a grade A effort. Defensively was impressive, even more so. Massive push back and knock back from the d line, equals on 60 yds of rushing on the day for the jack rabbits. Hope we see similar outcomes this Saturday 💪💪
 
I can't remember when it happened, but my favorite play was when Solo shot into the gap and knocked the O line guy straight back on his butt and then made the tackle for loss on the RB.
