UM @ Cal Davis Game Thread

Grizzly Road Show. Hopefully or ends early and we can get rolling in the second half. Frustrating.

Shouldn't matter. We should have 1 second left with a field goal attempt. Pretty unimpressed with the game smarts of our team. The play before, Chalich should have thrown it out of bounds instead of wasting 3 seconds. I wonder if the quarterback to run this offense even on the roster. Poor execution on so many levels.

I think our first game was no one had seen our offense yet. From here on in it requires better execution than we seem capable of. I keep waiting for them to turn the corner, but I just haven't seen it.

We seem unable to stand prosperity.

Offense needs to get everyone on the same page. Either Chalich is off, or the WR's are dropping terrific passes? If the GRIZ execute, this game is a blow out. Hard for me to put much blame on the coaching so far in this one.

They're actually playing amazingly well considering the positions they have been put in by the O. Even a good D would have given up 28-35 by now.

Stitt says scoring will go up in the second half because the offense will make all the necessary adjustments based on what the defense has presented. This is also supposed to coincide with the defense beginning to feel the fatigue from defending a desired 92+ plays.
 
Plain and simple. We need a qb capable of both running the ball and throwing ACCURATELY. I thought BG was having accuracy issues, but chalich is a whole lot less accurate.

It is not a gimmicky offense! It is not Stitt's fault the QB's and/or WR are not executing. The plays are there, and have been all year. The players need to execute more consistently!!! I think that is pretty simple and obvious.

Frustrating is the word I'd choose. Griz are looking totally inept on offense. Accuracy and drops (and a fumble, but that's besides the poin) are killing this team. Sometimes the WRs look surprised that the ball is in their neighborhood. Chalich is lucky his happy feet have not cost more than they have. When he is on, he looks great. But he has been off most of the half against a D that is not very good.

The D is doing alright, but they have been placed in bad situation after bad situation. If the D was any less, there would be more points on the board for Davis because of the O failing to execute.
 
We ran 50 plays first half. 29 passing. 21 running. Stitt should be happy.
Held Davis to 33 rushing yards. Pass defense suspect. Gave up 161.
 
The O can be good if you catch the ball and throw it accurately. Also, they are one dimensional due to no running game which makes it harder to pass. Davis has 6 or even 5 in the box. Should be able to get some running lanes against that front.
