UM at North Dakota Predictions

The PSU loss will serve as a huge gut punch. However I think PSU has found and provided an easy path to defeat our weak O line. Yes there weak no sugar coating it.

I think the amount of effort and time on the field the D has had to play at Poly and against PSU catches up to them a bit this week hence the high score by UND.

Don’t get me wrong I have faith in the Griz. They will battle and won’t quit. But are limited by Oline. Guys quit when Hauck was hired because they didn’t want to have to fight and work. They felt entitled and found out they where in fact not.
 
What’s the deal with their running back Santiago guy? 3-time all big sky guy and I haven’t heard a thing about him this season. Has he been injured or something or am I just not paying attention?

Didn't the offense run something like 95 plays against Poly?

He didnt play against UNC. He was questionable and dressed for the game, but they decided to rest him. He should be back at 100% after the bye. That said, he's the same player, but Oliviera is just as productive so they split carries pretty much 50/50, and the 3rd string guy will also get a few carries per game. Oliviera is probably more consistant snap to snap, because he is way more physical and always seems to get at least 2-3 yards. Santiago can break long runs more often, but he gets stuffed at the line way too frequently. If he had a better O-line, or if the coach could get him the ball in space, you would hear his name a lot more often.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts. If Montana hadn't given up a fluke punt return and had shown up for the 1st half of the PSU game we'd be 6-0, but we're not.
