A fib is not a tib. Depending on the severity, he could be back this season. It's not a weight-bearing bone.

Ok, you are sounding promising

My wife now tells me that is bears a small amount of weight, but if the fracture is not displaced, 5-6 weeks for a healthy dude is average. His could be way worse (or better), of course.

Can't they just duct tape it?

This is true but that's to get back to normal activity. In a division 1 athlete he will be out 6-8 weeks unless it's a tiny crack. This baby stiffens up like nobody's business.

Did they already have time to get to ER, xrayed and back???

I'm just relaying average fracture recovery time for an athlete coming from a diagnostic MSK radiologist based on imperfect information, Ursus1. If you have better info, please share.

Great rally back, guys.

Here's a pic on the Liberty Instagram feed taken of Williams Stadium tonight. You guys should have made the trip to Virginia.

That sucks. Didn't Donovan McNabb come back from one in like 4 weeks a few years back. I understand the severity is all that really matters, though.

Notice that I'm too classy to say "That's what she said".

Thank you for the info.

Record crowd, 22,500.
How cute
I think it speaks well for their perception of "Montana" that they set a stadium record. "Montana" is a big deal for them. Liberty is a great university that, like App State, appreciates great programs. That's what makes them first class.

I'm not trying to be funny...she's right. I'm just saying, as you did, imperfect information. If the X-rays are not back, could be a high ankle sprain as well.
