UC Davis Predictions.

UC Davis implodes tomorrow night...Self-destruction of the finest order. 3+ turnovers. Meanwhile, Montana plays their best game of the season. Why? No one knows for sure, but the fact the season is on the line and the PRIDE are two big reasons. Not to mention...it's football and you never know who is going to show up...just ask NDSU.

Everything clicks for the Griz.... Montana 38 UCD 24

I feel it's a 50/50 game. It will come down to late 4th qtr. Can our offense produce points? Can our defense hold their offense out of the red zone.

To me the win will come down to the bounce of the ball.

I can’t recall a time where Montana ever played their best game of the season on the road.

If you are giving 14, I’ll take that bet.

Maybe last time they played at Davis?

Dang I predict it will be hot….98f at kick off projected. At least we are at sea level.

May look like a redux of the Utah Tech game that was about a million degrees at 8pm. If the OL run blocks well, I’m guessing there will running, more running and running the ball some more. Good guys 19, Davis 13.

24-20 Griz! Lots of rushing yards, and just enough passing. Look for a punt return TD by Junior, a lot of touches by him. Go Griz!

Bobby 2.0 is 14-14 on the road.
Bobby 2.0 has exactly TWO wins against teams with winning records since 2019.

Those don’t bode well for this game.

It will be interesting to see how the Griz deal with adversity if they get behind early. If they can avoid that scenario they have a chance.

This should be a very interesting game, and I think this game will say a LOT about just where the 2023 griz football team is at. Are they quite talented and just misfiring on a few things, not playing their best, just need things to gel? Or, are they just not very good, don't have enough good talent on the roster (as Andrew Schmidt thinks), old stubborn coached, etc.

I'm saying it's probably a bit of everything, and the griz don't have the horses to hang with UCD on the road. 31 to 21 Aggies.

I’ve found through 40 years in business and leadership that “hope” is a pretty poor strategy.

Life (and sports) are pretty dismal places without it, though.

If the offense looks like they did against ISU, the Aggies will win comfortably, even without their best player:

27-10

If the offense can take a sizeable step forward in their second game with McDowell at the helm, it's anyone's game.

But the McDowell offense couldn't even break 4.0 YPC against ISU at home, and the UCD defense is a lot better.

Yes, agreed, but lets “hope” that Bobby isn’t using it as his base strategy…

It is an excellent strategy for a football fan who has no control over outcome.

Not sure where you've been, but McDowell has already been at the helm for two games.

I obviously meant their second game since going back to McDowell. They were not building any kind of continuity with anyone going back and forth to open the season and Vidlak had played way, way more than McDowell had on the season.
