U.S. DOE investigating UM Football

Tokyogriz said:
if you were the AD or head coach at the University of Montana and you got fired for supposedly being responsible for creating an enviroment that condones RAPES how would your future career prospects look and what would it do to your family?

However you wish to phrase it the lives of Oday and Pflus families are very severely affected by this. It is damaging and will have lasting effects. Their lives are not over by any stretch but this will damage the careers of both men and you damn well know it.

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. No need for Ambien....just read one of your posts.

Whats defamatory player Rep?

You said Freds long time assistant was a woman/ problem is his long time assitant isn't she has quit.

One of Engstroms first moves was to change scale back back Foley’s broad authority under Dennison as Executive Vice President down to Vice President of External Communications. Sounds like a demotion to me. At least its one the faculty is happy about....

Tell me seriously you are are not so out of touch you didn't know about last summers visit and the deficiencies the University became aware of in the course of the visit and has been working to correct. Its been all over and was even reffered to in the Barz report (and arguably part of the decision to have the independent investigation) or that the matter hasn't been discussed in the minute of several reagents meetings. Heres a mostly accurate article to help you on your way in your journey of enlightenment:

http://www.montanakaimin.com/news/um-crime-reporting-flawed-1.2860731#.T6LSudl0SF_" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Don't know why Lacroix quit (and didn't say I did) but the timing was interesting and out of the blue and less than a week after the office was defending their civil rights record to of all people Dusty Deschamps But if she thinks she will have more time for her dogs and family while trying to establish a private practice, thats rather naive.

Glad to know you have a new word at your disposal - defamatory, I have always been impressed with Lawyer talk. it takes bull shit to a much higher level doesn't it especially when you are so busy shooting from the hip as you look the bigger fool. High School debate was a long time ago get over it.

But really you ought to be nicer to me I'm about the only guy left who will will play with you., but even I'm weary of leagalese when you simply haven't got a clue what you are talking about

1. Your lies and false insinuations about various people, including most recently Jim Foley and Kristen LaCroix are defamatory.

2. Foley's title on the UM website is: "Executive Vice President". It says that his duties are: "As the University Executive Vice President at the University of Montana Jim plays an integral role in the planning and implementation of programs to ensure the fulfillment of the University's institutional Mission." Yes, he also oversees PR. http://www.umt.edu/evp/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

3. LaCroix went into private practice 2 months ago. She was in the county attorney's office for almost all of the period in question. You really are dumb or senile, aren't you. LaCroix defended her office with Judge Deschamps in Febuary 2011, not 2012 when she retired. Thus, she retired ONE YEAR and two weeks after that. Like I said, it is almost a full-time job correcting your lies and mistakes.

4. Most colleges don't report fully under the Clery act. It's just for statistical purposes. Maybe you think it's a big deal, but I don't. Here's a quote from the Kaimin article you cited. It says "Crime is under-reported at every level", including on "college campuses". "Steve Janosik, a Clery Act expert and professor at Virginia Tech, said that although crime is under-reported at every level — on college campuses and on state and federal levels — more people reporting crime leads to a better picture of safety on campus. If there were incredibly violations the reporting, the DOE would have acted sooner. These DOE investigations are routine. Note that UM has been over-reporting some crimes.

You're correct sir. Some people don't think too hard, so they won't understand.

Things could be worse.

You could have lost six or more players instead of Pflu and Oday. Or you could have lost six or more players and Pflu and Oday.

I think I just read an echo

Hey PR, You should prolly tell Foley he go in two yearst his old title back because you read it on a website that hasn't been updated in two years. He keeps using the new one like here:

http://www.montanakaimin.com/mobile/opinion/letter-foley-responds-to-editorial-says-he-s-staying-in-missoula-1.2862801#.T6Gx7KvY_Nk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Engstrom keeps making the same mistake like in his "comments" following the Barz report.

Thank you for the timeline correction on the County Attorneys Office time line. I didn't realize their negative civil rights record was documented that far back. I just assumed it was recent. I guess senility runs the years together. It certainly helps explain the DOJs interest.

The posts insinuating that any federal investigation is driven by a national political agenda are incredibly insulting to any woman (and her parents, friends, etc.) who legitimately believes her claim of sexual assault or rape was not properly investigated. Be an adult, or go crawl back under your rock.

Try as I might, I don't think I can interpret or correct that bunch of garbled nonsense. TNT is more than a bit past his prime, and I doubt his prime was anything to write home about in the first place.

You don't know the half of it pal. If you don't think Holder and the Chicago mafia around Obama would use this to further their cause you are naive beyond help. These people are as ruthless as Karl Rove, James Carville or Lee Atwater and I think this is where uber partisan politics has left us.

They are throwing Engen under the bus, the one Missoula D that would have a chance in a statewide election down the road. Don't you find it the least bit interesting that this is going down in a state where their campaign is DOA.

When the nature of some of the cases that will be "investigated" come out you will know what I'm talking about.

I agree it is an insult to any victim of a crime like this for this to be used to further ANY agenda from any partisan persuasion. That doesn't mean it can't happen.

I am not naive about this, and just because there is political motivation on some level does not make it wrong. There are often times when politics lead to positive results. But reckless language may justifiably be perceived as misogynist, and I think it is way too early to jump to conclusions here.

You have to be kidding, you seem to think the the Federal Government can deal with local problems better than we can locally.

Let's hear your list of when politics leads to positive results. Politics has given us gridlock (which I actually am OK with) as the idiots in Congress on both sides are unable to pass stupid legislation.

Stick the misogyny point in your sock in this discussion, where did I raise a point that was disrespectful to any woman?

I'll disagree , that if it motivated by political gain it's AOK, this is the attitude on both sides that leaves us with the c..f..ck that is today.

LOL, What it means is I should never try and post on Chemo days ( PR is sorta right, not quite past my prime but prime isn't there :lol:) It also means until we have an HTML option I shouldn't try and use my Tab, the dang cursor bounces all over the place and edit appears and dispapears at will.

What it should have read:

Prolly is web slang but I think you can figure out its meaning from the CORRECT context.

"Prolly" first appeared as a "word" in the old "Pogo" comic strip, where Pogo would use it instead of "probably." At least this is how I remember it. Maybe my age is showing. :o

But I'll bet your billable hours didn't go down any. So unless you are padding those hours you really need to take some time for yourself (100+ hour/week is too much for anyone), maybe get a little, play some golf whatever. it might improve your disposition

I have always liked pogo, guess thats prolly picked it up.

Clearly there are problems better dealt with by the Federal Government than local authorities. An example would the systematic violation of voting rights in some southern states. The local authorities were the problem and the DOJ successfully worked to ensure that nobody's rights were taken away.

I don't really see what the problem is with the DOJ investigation. A citizen complained that her civil rights were violated, the DOJ is thus obligated to investigate. If there isn't really a problem, then the outcome of the investigation should be benign. If there is a problem, some action is required. Seems reasonable to me.
