A few kitten fans already understand why the Griz are so much better off now that Tyler is a kitten :thumb:

Don't rule out the possibility of Choate taking the next available 400k + position coach job with a Big 10, Big 12 of Pac 12 team.
Lol!
There is 0% chance of Choate leaving after this season for a FBS position coaching job.
Your griz coach, on the other hand... well let's just say it's higher than that.

Ty didn't get the HC position here he wanted because he's not head coach material. Get it now?
He didn't get the HC job because not many people liked the guy. Plus he caused or created division in the locker room. His defenses struggled to find consistency regularly. He tries to interven too much with his defenses. adjusting, changing, over plannning, and general meddling. etc. His BASE is very good. He needs a firm HC that can keeps him grounded in that base. I agree the dude's not a HC. Based on personality, past ability to create and maintain relationships, overall understanding of his own philosophy, game management abilities or his leadership decisions. I do think he could be an excellent DC. A little bit of angry and over confident can go a long way on that side of the ball if channeled the right way.

One thing that I have been told, and seen for myself about Ty's defense is that they are consistently unprepared for the snap of the ball. His defense is predicated on him making a call to the defense before the snap of the ball. If you pay attention, his defenses will often be looking at the sidelines all the way up to the snap of the ball, not leaving them a lot of time to get in position. There are even instances where the ball is snapped and half the defenders are facing the sideline. This is something that occurred as UM as well as MSU. I think Ty is a smart guy, and understands how to defend offenses really well, but his players need to figure that stuff out too. his defense cant constantly be relying on him to read the offense and make a pre snap call, they are caught off guard all too often.
I'm fairly certain that Ty isn't even on the sidelines during the game.
