Who is Gunnar- Did he play football....?
havgrizfan said:Teton, actually i was never ever mad about Gunnar changing his mind. I don't get mad about 18 year old kids who I have never met making a life-altering decision for themsleves. I'll always leave that up to people who send newspaper clippings about preseason rankings through the mail. I have met Gunnar since he became a Bobcat however. He is a great guy. The Cats are lucky to have guys' like his and Newell's maturity and leadership. Those two are certainly going to be leaned on to help the transition to the Choate era this spring and summer. So, sorry to disappoint you.

Not to mention, Brint and others are pretty spot on. I think the Griz are doing OK, even with Gunnar in Bozeman. 2013 - Jordan Canada rushed for over 1,000 yards. 2014 - Jordan Canada rushed for over 1,000 yards. 2015 - John Nyguen rushed for nearly 900. In those three season's combined, Gunnar has rushed for 784 yards and five scores.

Oh yes, how dare anyone act mature and intelligent on a message board? It is a direct affront to the morons who readily spew venom that they would never say to a person's face for the certainty of finding a fist in their own. Hey Beat-on Cat, why don't you head back to "Honesty Nation" -- and please take 5700 with you. He is probably just your alter ego "Cat troll in Griz disguise" anyway.Teton Cat said:havgrizfan said:Teton, 5700, yup really. Who in the hell am I to judge a kid for what he does with his life? Oh pleeeeeeeeze stop with the nonsense Hav. Your second sentence is beyond belief!! Quit polishing your halo....pretty soon you'll be telling us that you've never had an "impure thought" in your life!!! At least 5700 was honest with his true feelings

Yeah, he's been a real difference maker....
But yes, it was hilarious when Tom Stuber called Brekke to convince him to flip. msu had to self report the violation, and then posted on lilbronation.com that 50 year old boosters were not to call recruits at their home!
And then to top it off, brekke is going to go his entire career without beating the GRIZ. But on the bright side, he's seeing the field in bozo a whole lot more than he would in Missoula.

Well, considering Tom didn't call Gunnar, but called his Dad. MSU didn't have to and did not report anything because there was no violation. But, as I recall, some butt hurt Griz fan who used to act like a dick head and lives in Washington, called MSU to report what he thought was a violation, prompting MSU compliance to post their warning on BN.
I see you're still butt hurt Everette. You're entitled to you're opinion, just not to fabricate the facts.

Does liking something they tweet qualify in your "TONS"?
No
But why even do that? The message wasn't meant for you to read. They're NOT Griz yet and anything including any replies, retweets, and likes, are rules violations anyway. So WHY? Let the coaches recruit and JUST BE the creepy Twitter stalker that we all are

C'mon Long, you're better than that.
I recall Tom posting specifically that he spoke to the kid. But in either event, a booster calling the father of a recruit committed to another school and asking him to flip is a clear NCAA violation. If msu did NOT self-report, then they've got real problems in their compliance department.
If you're suggesting that I called msu, that's laughable. The only thing I've ever called msu's athletic department is a shitty program. That said, I have no doubt that they were made aware of a booster openly discussing the details of a clear infraction on a message board. A few days later the post was deleted by the mods and msu posted a very specific warning about not contacting recruits. Certainly sounds to me as if someone felt there was a pretty big issue involved. But, credit where it's due, your spin was so good I'm a little dizzy.
Oh, and yeah, sure. I'm butthurt over a guy who is gonna 0-Fer against the GRIZ, never sniff the playoffs and who might, if he's lucky, play a couple of downs of special teams at MONTANA. Umhmmm...
