Teton, actually i was never ever mad about Gunnar changing his mind. I don't get mad about 18 year old kids who I have never met making a life-altering decision for themsleves. I'll always leave that up to people who send newspaper clippings about preseason rankings through the mail. I have met Gunnar since he became a Bobcat however. He is a great guy. The Cats are lucky to have guys' like his and Newell's maturity and leadership. Those two are certainly going to be leaned on to help the transition to the Choate era this spring and summer. So, sorry to disappoint you.

Not to mention, Brint and others are pretty spot on. I think the Griz are doing OK, even with Gunnar in Bozeman. 2013 - Jordan Canada rushed for over 1,000 yards. 2014 - Jordan Canada rushed for over 1,000 yards. 2015 - John Nyguen rushed for nearly 900. In those three season's combined, Gunnar has rushed for 784 yards and five scores.

I really don't care and don't judge where an 18 year-old high school kid that I've never met chooses to go to college, even if that kid chooses Montana State over Montana. I recall Tom posting specifically that he spoke to the kid. But in either event, a booster calling the father of a recruit committed to another school and asking him to flip is a clear NCAA violation. If msu did NOT self-report, then they've got real problems in their compliance department.

If you're suggesting that I called msu, that's laughable. The only thing I've ever called msu's athletic department is a shitty program. That said, I have no doubt that they were made aware of a booster openly discussing the details of a clear infraction on a message board. A few days later the post was deleted by the mods and msu posted a very specific warning about not contacting recruits. Certainly sounds to me as if someone felt there was a pretty big issue involved. But, credit where it's due, your spin was so good I'm a little dizzy.


Oh, and yeah, sure. I'm butthurt over a guy who is gonna 0-Fer against the GRIZ, never sniff the playoffs and who might, if he's lucky, play a couple of downs of special teams at MONTANA. Umhmmm... :lol:
