yep....it is listed on directv ch 681 altitude at noon on saturday here in cda, id

I am in the CDA area as well. Saw it show up the other day. Set to record

Capone's on 4th has the game on as well......Legends in Liberty Lake also is a great
place to see the game......usually less crowded venue

Haven't tried Legends yet. Went to Capones a few times. Got a bunch of Griz family here though and they find it a little too crowded So I usually can get the games on TV or streaming and have a watch party every SAT that I can. We usually have around 8-10 people.

sounds fun......ya, this is the first year since 2004 that i am not going to every game. planning on attending the ew and ndu games this year.

I feel for Griz fans. I can see scheduling one cupcake, but to schedule both Valpo and Savannah State in the same season would be tough to take as a fan. They are not only bad, they are horrible and should prove no challenge for the Griz. I would think Griz fans deserve more than a double dose of two games that provide no challenge.

Believe I saw the game on the SWX guide for the Spokane area.

Looks like game will be streamed on gogriz.com. http://www.gogriz.com/watch/?Live=312&type=Live

That's the best news I've had all week!

Yes, very good news. I wasn't counting on being able to watch it on gogriz.com so I started doing some calling and found out that I can, and probably will, watch the game at the Hub Pub in Hub City, WI - just in case anybody is in the area!

Go Griz!

Definitely crappy games but the rest of the conference games at home will make up for it. E Wash, NAU, UND, PSU, UNC are all great games. UNC because we can pay them back for last year.

Also, Valpo will be fun just because its the first game. Savannah St. is crap but may be needed after going to UW. Can act as a bye week before conference play if we get some guys banged up.

I guess with your background in scheduling at the FCS level.....

Over the prior two seasons, Montana's non-con schedules have consisted of no DIIs, with games against UNI (road), NDSU, Liberty (road) and Poly (road), and they have UNI and Western Ill (road) scheduled next year. I don't think Montana needs to apologize to anyone for their FSC scheduling.

I did not say you did. What I said is that I feel for the fans having two teams that will prove zero challenge to the Griz as your two home OOC games THIS season. I would say you are lying if you tell me you got excited when the schedule was released and you saw Valpo and Savannah State on it.

I am a Cal Poly fan and I have been disappointed many times with our schedule. This year is not one with Colgate, San Jose State and Northern Iowa as our OOC games. The Griz historically have had great schedules. This year's OOC schedule is not however.

Is a cow polyester fan seriously trying to imply that their schedule is harder than ours?

You must have ready comprehension problems. I did not say that and I was not talking trash. Can you honestly say you are excited to see Valpo and Savannah State on your schedule?

I will say in the part of our schedule we had control of is way better than the part of your schedule your AD had control over. Just to be clear I am talking out of conference schedule. Colgate, San Jose State and Northern Iowa is certainly better than Valpo, Washington and Savannah State.

Precisely.

Look, no, I'm not overly excited about two games which should be blowouts. And I'm not too eager to see the Griz get blown out by Washington. But they are all DI games, and my point is still completely valid: Montana can be excused for this schedule because it is an outlier. I don't think it's too great a stretch to say that over the past few years, their noncon has been among the best in the country.

You can't really fault our AD for not being able to schedule better OOC competition in 2017. We actually were supposed to play a series against McNeese State in 2016 and 2017, and the Pokes would have been visiting Missoula this year. Our 2017 OOC would have been a cupcake (Valpo/Savannah State U), an FBS game (Washington), and McNeese, and that would have been a very good OOC schedule. Unfortunately with App State's move up to the FBS, that cancelled the McNeese series with Montana (It was a three-way series contract between App, McNeese and Montana), thus the 2nd cupcake. By the time that series was cancelled, I'm sure most good FCS programs already had their schedules pretty much filled out. It's not easy scheduling quality games in short order.

Jesus ... a guy can't even state the obvious in this psych ward without a pack of thin skinned pinheads going crazy and taking issue even where there is no issue. Sad ... tiresome.

That makes sense. McNeese would have been a great game.

If you're going to accuse someone of "reading" deficits, at least learn to spell. And really, you're the one who needs to check yourself in that department. I did not accuse you of "saying" that; I said it seems like you were implying it--which you were/are.
"Excited" is a relative term. Like E.G. has been saying, it's better than a D2, so that's exciting. What's not exciting to me is some big sky team winning the conference without playing UM, MSU, and/or EWU. Total BS regardless of the OOC sched. So I'm glad your team already peed it's pants, much earlier than usual.
And what do you mean by "better" OOC? Certainly not total sargian rank, or dollars in the door. Ain't that the point of OOC: max profit and preparedness and minimize negatives

My take is, Montana is a FCS team, both Valpo and Savannah are FCS teams. It is what it is and if you don't like, then maybe FCS football isn't for you.
