Tully and Hermanson

I think the two have played poorly. However, I think that 660 yards is attributable to our soft defense. When we did pressure the QB he always had somewhere to go. He got rid of the ball frequently as he got hit but to an open receiver. We are so far off the receivers their routes are never disrupted. Wide open receivers were open by five yards on every play. Our receivers are continually fighting for the catch.

The play of the defensive backfield is more a result of the scheme than the players. Anytime ND wanted a 7 yard out they got it. Also you have DB's always coming forward on slants, hitches or outs which results in receivers running by them on out and ups. If they play closer to the line they are more apt to be able to stay with the receiver.

Northwest, go away. You are a C-word. And,I don't mean that in the, slap you on the back and buy you a beer, kind of way.

And, I would have called you simply a bitch, but I know C-word is a Florio buzz word, and I have put her on my bucket-list..

Seriously though, you are C-word.

Edit: If you were wondering what C-word means, it means c u n t.

So you are attacking him for saying its wrong to bash two players specifically and that accountability should fall on the entire defensive team? and coaches?

Better look in that mirror friend....your description more aptly describes yourself.

Nope my friend, just calling out someone who simply relishes in being negative on this board. I respect dissenting opinion. Just prefer when an agenda is not involved.

wbtfg, go fuck yourself you cocksucking faggot..

You come to Missoula, I will get you fucked up. Can you have random sex with hottish..women..

I'd rather have the anger directed at me than at players who are doing their best on the field.

So, I'll give you credit for not starting whiny, bitchy, negative threads about specific Griz players, unlike some of the other "fans" on this board.

...as I'm not being negative, and am standing up for two solid student-athletes.

I'm surprised UM accepted you ... if they did. :thumb:

Guess I struck a nerve, eh sweetheart?

Wait, you're upset for someone calling out the safeties but it's ok for you to call out the defensive line for a "horrible pass rush". I don't get it.

The entire defense got throttled. It was a horrible game for the defense. I don't blame any specific player(s). Everybody involved shares the bad game.

If you don't "get it", then you'll never "get it".

Go bash some more players individually. That is what the "real fans" do, apparently.

singling out players is bush league and the sign of a front-runner, which you are.

I'll just leave this here....

Tripp is wearing #37, and NAU was running all over him in the second half. They were running right at him!

NorthwestFresh said:
...Tripp needs to pull his head out of his rear and stop trying to get on SportsCenter with every tackle, and just remember to play his position....

I could go on... but I think my point is made.

I didn't start a thread about Tripp, but your point is made. You pulled those quotes out of context in a thread bashing other players, but yes, I did single out Tripp for his play in that game. I still think he embarrassed himself in Bozo last year with his act on the sidelines, but that's another issue.

My bad. Tripp, my apologies. I know you're giving your all out there.

I know you didn't start the thread about Tripp, and actually my point wasn't to say you are a bad fan for calling out a player or anything like that. Just wanted to point out that it's normal to get occasionally frustrated with the play of a particular player (or players).

Talking about the players on field performance, and likewise the coaches decisions, never seemed to me like a bad thing for a fan to do. If we weren't big time fans, we wouldn't really give a rats ass about what happened.

I don't think anyone is questioning Tully or Hermanson's heart or effort out there..... it's just frustrating to see our safeties consistently being beat deep like that, and not hitting anyone. As Griz fans I think we got used to opposing WRs being absolutely lit up when they went across the middle of the field. That really hasn't happened this year.

What's even stranger in my opinion is how Hermanson was damn good last year, and actually did hit people. This year (in my opinion) he seems fairly tentative out there when it comes to hitting people and not aggressive at all when going for the ball. Is that injury related, or something else? Who knows... Hell...in Basketball we call it the Sophomore Slump when a freshman player has an awesome freshman year, then hits a slump their sophomore year. It happens...
