Bring him back in 2 weeks then aggravate the injury and sit the rest of the season.

Good plan.

I don't think that is the plan, I think the plan is to make sure that the shoulder is completely healed before his return...But just ask the Redskins how easy it is to tell a player he is not quite there.

I'd be surprised if MSU didn't make the playoffs. They need 6 more wins to hit 7 D1 wins and have 9 games left.

SUU, @UNC, UCD, and @Web are likely wins unless they have an epic collapse. So that's 4 likely wins right there.

They'd need to only win 2 of the following games to hit that 7 D1 win mark likely getting them into the playoffs:

@SFA (Without McGhee)
@UND (Without McGhee)
NAU (Without McGhee)
@EWU
UM

If they drop 2 of their next 3 games without McGhee though things become interesting. @EWU is likely a loss so that would mean the game against the Griz would determine their fate :)

If I had to bet on it, I'd bet they win at least 2 of their next 3 even without McGhee and do end up making the playoffs. McGhee is a very good QB, but even without him the Cats have a solid team and should be able to handle SFA and UND.
Not that I care, but MSU will not lose to SFA....SFA is as bad as App St.

I had to look at SFA's schedule and seeing that they scored 40 on Weber st that they would have a chance but then I thought that every team has a chance to do that against them. I think SFA'S will keep it close against MSU

Unless the cats can improve their play A-BUN-DANT-LY from Saturday it may be closer than many think.

I don't see msu even making the playoffs...

I said that before the season and before LBJ got hurt. Got laughed at by kitty fans. It's becoming pretty evident now. :lol:

I'd be shocked if the Cats didn't make the playoffs. A lot will depend on how their OL performs. I think Bleskin performed very well for his first start and I really don't think you can rationalize him being the reason for how they possible underperformed. If I'm a Bobcat I'm more concerned about the inability to run on CO-Mesa. Regardless, I think the Cats will be fine and will be heavy favorites in all of their games till EWU. NAU has been much less impressive than the Cats so far. MSU is still very talented. If you look at what they've done and who they have compared to the rest of the teams on the schedule, you'd have a tough time making an objective argument that they aren't strongly favored to finish in the Top 3 in the BSC.

Did you watch the kitty vs Mesa high school game??

They looked like shit.

Hammer,

I did watch part of it. Mesa ran a 3-3-5 that caused some problems for MSU's OL. As I stated earlier this year, MSU's success will really depend on how their OL performs and this has to be a concern. However, running against a defense like that, regardless of who you are playing is going to create confusion and hesitation to young and inexperienced OLmen. I think that was very evident watching that game. In the SMU game their OL performed much better against much much better athletes (were pretty dominant actually), but they were going up against a D set that they were familiar with. OL is a tough position and it's much tougher when you are young and playing against a formation that takes you away from what you are used to doing.

I thought Bleskin looked very good for his first game and I thought the difference on talent on both sides of the ball were very evident as most players were dominating their competition. The Cats D played very well. I think people are making a mistake as using this game as their argument for the Cats being a middle of the pack team. You have to evaluate, also, how the other teams are performing and I don't see any team that has the talent or ability to be Top 3 in the conference right now. NAU, Poly, and SSU have all been less impressive than MSU if you have been paying attention to them. It is very wishful thinking for people to think the Cats are a middle of the pack team right now.

I was actually talking about Mesa running all over the cats. A D-II school shouldn't have their way in the running game like Mesa did. I just think they are very very average and it will show as the season progresses.

Mesa ran all over us?? Geez some of you dudes are brain dead. All you guys talk shit but won't back it up by placing a wager with any of the CAT fans that have thrown out the challenge. If you reslly don't think we'll make the playoffs... Bet one of us. :roll:

In case your little kitty brain is high on catnip here is a reminder. This is a poor D-II team too. :lol:

12 game schedule this year and a D2 win.

Its going to take more than 7 wins to make the playoffs this year...

Not necessarily; last year there were 20 teams invited to the 2012 FCS Playoffs. This year there'll be 24. A lot easlier for a 7 - 4 team to get in.

Some of those new slots are going to go to the non scholarship schools that nevere would have been included otherwise. This is why I don't like the playoff expansion. It's not the 24 best teams. It's the .com irrelevance bowl destruction of the playoffs.
so a fifth of FCS gets to go to the playoffs And a bunch of one and dones who got a bye the first week now officially make it to the second round. That's too much.
