Simply admire the "creativity" in hate. I'm glad it is for a real reason like taking a knee at the end of a game and celebrating a win over a rival instead of doing something weird like writing "FTG" on his arms or committing a crime. Yup, the kid (like the majority of student athletes) deserves vile treatment from fans for working his butt off, playing hard and putting up solid numbers.

As I said before, I'm glad this crap doesn't happen on egriz. Right havrgrizfan?
He must have been so proud to get that huge win of a 9 point margin over the 2012 Grizzlies. Considering that there was a newspaper clipping of the blow out of 2011 that stayed taped to a wall in their locker room for full year. They should be happy they didn't have to face the 2011 Griz again. They faced SHSU and had the almost exact same results. Honestly tho, how many times are they gonna piss on the toilet seat before they learn lift it up??

Yup - I can't believe it either. Why would he be proud to win the Brawl of the Wild? You certainly don't see the Griz acting that way after a win over the Cats. More reason to hate that student athlete!

And yeah - SHSU (since that was what we were talking about :? ). The Griz throttled SHSU in 2011 . . . except for the first half . . . and only lost because they ran out of time. That was one of the greatest almost wins of all time. It would have happened again in 2012 had it not been for that stupid 5-6 record. Dang it.

Mthead, does my post at ANY TIME say Griz fans don't do the same thing? Nope, try another approach please. I don't speak for Egriz or any other Griz fans. I speak for myself and you won't find a SINGLE post of mine in how many ever I have where I have bashed a Bobcat player. However, I will challenge you to find five threads on Egriz with the a title that is completely devoted to bashing a Cat player. I can find the McGhee one so you're down to finding four. I can find five on Bobcat nation in about five minutes.

I applaud and respect you for not bashing student athletes. I am simply pointing out that some Griz fans (like some Cat fans as you elected to point out) are not like you.

I think both you and I know that there are MANY posts (regardless of titles) on Egriz that single out and bash student athletes / Cats players. Heck, your fellow fan is doing a fine job right now. If you think there is a difference between that and tread titles (without reading the content of those threads), well I guess we will agree to disagree...

god how did I miss this gem?!

so we're bashing guy for taking a knee at the end of the game now?

of course this never happens in grizland. in fact, I remember our 0-11 team that may have been the worst in the nation getting routed by the griz in Bozeman. the fans hardly cheered. the griz players certainly didn't celebrate the win. hell...they were so about business you couldn't even tell if they enjoyed beating us by what felt like 50. :o

give. me. a. break.

So this is what it's come to huh? Bashing someone for taking a knee and being excited about beating your arch rival? What a f*cking joke. The cats won and they were excited, as they should have been. Let it go for f*ck's sake.

always nice to see others who get it. although this board would be pretty boring if everyone was like us...

:o

Gets it guy here..Am I in the right place?

yep. unless of course you hate qb's of winning teams who take knees in the final seconds of a win....

looking back on it he should have fake kneeled and threw a hail mary to bleskin.

I like arguing with cat fans as much as anyone but really, could there be a dumber argument? I think not.

I'm with ya ILTC. And here I always thought taking a knee was the sportsmanlike thing to do when the game was in hand with only a few seconds left. WTF :o

Well you're wrong mister! And no celebrating the victory either!

JJ would start for everyone except for maybe MSU...

That's a real hoot!

Perhaps, but if are looking at this logically (ha), JJ would've had a hard time beating out McGhee in 2010. McGhee was a RS Fr, JJ a true frosh. And I saw JJ play when he was a true freshman... McGhee won the conference offensive MVP that year. And I doubt anyone, including JJ, would've usurped McGhee after that. JJ might be starting as a senior for MSU in this scenario, after McGhee is gone.

Now if we are in some sort of fantasy football world where we can pick and choose right now, I'd have to really think hard about it. :)
Maybe you didn't see JJ and McGhee play on the same (MSU) field in 2011 - their only encounter. You can have McGhee; he doesn't perform in the big games.

YEAH,, because EVERYONE wants a 3 TIME LOSER QB that couldn't accomplish squat in the playoffs versus a QB that dominated in his playoff run. GOOD CHRIST, will the insanity ever end in bozangeles?

You guys cannot seriously be that biased or stupid. Can't you understand the point he was making? Of course most Cat fans will say DM is better, and probably a bunch of griz fans would choose JJ, however I have some good friends that are huge griz fans and they even say that he may end up being better but it's too early in his career to say for sure.

The point was, that if he were in Bozo... he'd still be stuck behind DM. Do you honestly think the coaching staff would have benched the National Player of the Year, All American DM after his Freshman year, and put JJ in there? If you do then you guys are dumber than I thought.

Talk about TRUTH HURTS and biased/stupid...the point is JJ is better than DM, period.

And furthur more, there would have been no need to bench DM after his FR year if JJ was a cat then because JJ would have started before DM.

cat fans like DM, Griz fans like JJ. The playoffs like JJ.

Let's settle this matter of who's the better QB on the field, like JJ does and DM doesn't.

JJ couldn't even beat out who, Justin Roper and Andrew Selle on a UM team that didn't make the playoffs his freshman year?
Uh, Selle had just taken the Griz to the chipper; you replace him with an true frosh? No. McGhee had no competition when he was freshman.

No, I don't think Van would start in m catland, Bozeman, or Montana State. Not when you have an established senior who is top 3 in most all-time rushing stats at that school. He would get plenty of touches, ala Orenzo Davis, but Kirk is the one running out at the start of the game.
Good. Check out Kirk's performances against the Griz. Advantage UM.

Kirk & co (seniors) are 2-1 vs. Griz (2 at WA Griz). Advantage Cats.

Kirk had a bad ankle going into that game last year. Plus, our offensive line was undersized last year. It's amazing they accomplished what they did.

Your little party is over!

I think we can all agree on one thing regardless of which side we cheer for, and that is this season needs to start. I don't know about the rest of you, but this back and forth pissing match is getting old as shi*t.
We are coming upon the greatest time of year, better than Christmas!
This week is almost in the books, and let's hope to hell next week sails by just as quick so we can get back to football.

I agree, All this talk about who is bad or good is just that-TALK. Let the season begin. We will see who is good or bad at the end of the season. It will be played out on the field, not here on egriz. Can't wait for next week!
