Its similiar to the HYSTERIA/Lynch Mob mentality that allowed us as americans to imprison our fellow Japanese, Italian and German americans during WW2.
Players are guilty of all things until Proven innocent, as are their coaches and the AD.
Citizens are innocent until proven guilty. However, when you are signed on scholarhip to play for a team you give up some of those rules and must abide by the PLAYER CONDUCT rules as well. The Players can write as many letters as they want in support of Phlugrad/Oday but the bottom line is they were the one's getting in trouble (and often because there wasn't a lot of discipline being done). I am not saying all UM football players are thugs/criminals as they aren't (a lot of good kids on there). But there should have been some leadership from both the Captains on that team (although some of the captains were the one's getting in trouble) AND the COACHING staff. I guess that is just my opinion though.
