Tribute to Pflu

It is LOSE. Not LOOSE. This word is the most abused word on egriz. Just sayin.

Please continue the beatdown of tokyo. That fella needs to step away from the crack pipe and breathe in some air filled with reality.

The OP here was sincere and had decent things to say about Robin Pflugrad without getting too emotional in the release of him from his position.

Those of you attacking me are all following the same group mentality of attacking folks with no basis of doing so. Thats the same lame reasons people gave for imprisoning our fellow americans during WW 2 and the McCarthyism attacks and hysteria during the 50s. These folks all had their "reasons" and it was of course fully justified in thier own little minds just like you think you are.

The fact not a single one of you lynch mob folks have anything at all to say positive about Pflu is a sign to your real guilt in publicly attacking this man without cause. That is why I call you all a lynch mob and you deserve no respect for this reason.

Lets hear something decent about Pflu or even Oday from you who seem to think its fun attacking someone when they are down.

Says the guy who can't seem to make a single post now without referring to some mythical lynch mob or comparing the firing of a coach to perhaps the most inhumane treatment of fellow Americans since slavery. You are a fucking piece of work....unbelievable and embarrassing that half of Japan probably thinks YOU are what Americans are all like.

Why not post it until the lynch mob stops? Call it for what it is.

Its similiar to the HYSTERIA/Lynch Mob mentality that allowed us as americans to imprison our fellow Japanese, Italian and German americans during WW2.

Players are guilty of all things until Proven innocent, as are their coaches and the AD.

Holy shit! Did I just really read that? You're so uneducated. Completely and entirely different. You're such a meat-head if you really believe this.

Colt Anderson said the same thing as Tokyo on his facebook page. I'll take Colt and Tokyo over a bozo like you any day. Go get em Tokyo. I'm on your wing.

You'd give anything for Colt Anderson to consider you a friend, PR, you joke. Thanks for helping bring down the UM football program.

Come on PR. You know exactly why some of the players have accepted you. I just hope the NCAA doesn't come knocking at your door.

First off, I understand this is my first egriz post so let me earn some street cred here.....

My first game was in 1974 at good 'ol Dornblazer with my dad, Buck. I am a relentless Griz fan, and if you don't believe me then look for the guy in the north end zone with the Griz logo tattooed on his calf with #15 conveniently located in the centered of the Griz paw. I missed one game, it was the Brawl of the Wild at Washington Griz in 2006 and trust me, I didn't want to but Buck was in his final bout with testicular cancer and we didn't think he'd make it.

But 'ol Buck pulled through--we have a little saying in our family, "Buck chose the Grizzlies of maroon and silver over the angels in the light blue and white." The mystique of The Griz had a plan for my dad Buck, and I'm not afraid to say it...

The Griz mystique has a plan for all of us, even Pflugrad and Jim. They're good men and they ARE GRIZZLIES! We can't turn our back them now, we need to stick together through these times of adversity and will all prevail as one cohesive unit, just like the '95 championship team did with Dickinson under center (I got my tattoo the very next day). Dammit, WE ARE MONTANA! We are human and we can't win every single game, sometimes we loose and have to bounce back but we always do, and we come back bigger, faster, and stronger than ever! Just like Buck did with testicular cancer in 2006 when I was torn away from Brawl of the Wild on that cold November day.

Just to set the record straight. In 1974 you were not at good ol' Dornblazer with you dad Buck. In 1974 you were at the new Dornblaser. The old Dornblaser Field was located behind Main Hall, where the UC and Mansfield Library currently are. It was torn down in 1967-1968.

I don't know who Colt Anderson is and I don't care. It's still a stupid meat-head thing to say. There are more important things in life than Griz football and I'm thinking for a guy (or girl) like Tokyo, that might be a difficult thing to accept .

I'm not a Griz fan so why should I know who he is, let alone what he says on his facebook page?

If you don't know who Colt Anderson is, you're apparently not even aware of what goes on in the Big Sky Conference.

For your edification, Colt Anderson was a consensus All-American safety for the Griz in 2008 (not to mention unanimous All-Big Sky). He is now with the Philadelphia Eagles, and was their special teams player of the year last year (and very likely would have been the third straight ex-Griz Pro Bowler if he hadn't been injured mid-season).

The point is, he knows Griz football as well as, or better than, anyone who posts on this board, so his opinion on this matter carries significant weight.

Big Sky Bears...I have never picked a fight with any poster...Not taking any sides on the fiasco going on right now... I just keep my mouth shut. However, you have over 600 posts on e-griz and you don't know (or, apparently care) who Colt Anderson is?

No matter what side of this you are on...sorry sir...you just lost a lot of creditability.

I like watching Colt play football, but I really couldn't care less what his opinion of this episode is. He's HARDLY an unbiased source. You'd take Colt because you're a jock-sniffing retard, and Tokyo is just a retard...it doesn't go any deeper than that....

The maroon and silver blood runs deep in the veins of Griz nation. I have to admit I am a little bias, but I will stand up and tell ANYBODY that Wa Griz is the best college football environment in the country. I've always been a fan of the BCS national champion playing the FCS national champion. I know we'd probably loose but we would show this country that Montana boys can hold their own, I'll bet my Centerville class C state title ring on it. Yeah Dornblazer in 1974 may have not been the nicest or newest stadium in the country, or even the state. Yeah I might have called it good it good 'ol Dornblaser, but to me, I have the best memories of my life there. In fact, there were a few times through out the year where the guys behind us were even mad because we were so in to the game that it was hard to sit down : / but I didn't even care because to me, that is what matters. Its about sacrificing yourself for the sake of the team, its about being a Griz and waking up every god damn morning asking yourself what can I do for the Griz and what can't I do for the freaking Boobcats!!!! :-/

Citizens are innocent until proven guilty. However, when you are signed on scholarhip to play for a team you give up some of those rules and must abide by the PLAYER CONDUCT rules as well. The Players can write as many letters as they want in support of Phlugrad/Oday but the bottom line is they were the one's getting in trouble (and often because there wasn't a lot of discipline being done). I am not saying all UM football players are thugs/criminals as they aren't (a lot of good kids on there). But there should have been some leadership from both the Captains on that team (although some of the captains were the one's getting in trouble) AND the COACHING staff. I guess that is just my opinion though.

I tell you what, I got a very good feeling that the Griz program was out of control internally when I watched (Cat/Griz game) Trumaine Johnson screaming F bombs to the MSU crowd and watching the Griz defensive coordinator(s) just sit there and laugh. That said it all right there for me.
