Kind of apples and oranges to him now being the starting qb. He played 2 plays at receiver, had 7 rushes, and no pass attempts. McKay was our qb. Tommy nothing more than a change of pace guy. Don’t think he took a single snap in the 4th quarter of that game.
But yes, he and the rest of the offense did virtually nothing that game. McKay got benched and decided to quit, and Tommy was named the starter. Thus getting first team reps for the first time all year before the playoffs started.
I’d say he’s done ok with his opportunity so far. NDSU will be the best defense he’s faced, so we’ll see if he’s up for the challenge.
