Top 10 FCS Domes

Dude, I'm not sure how to put this. It appears you think you may have the ability required to play this game. My sweet summer child, I do not say it often, but I invented the FCS dome ranking game. If you heed anything at all, heed this: I'm the one with the ball; I'm the one who can throw it faster than fuck. I didn't choose it. It chose me. Now, kindly take your "Bobfan posing as a Bizon fan" thing on down the road.
Dude! I literally just busted out laughing at this. Epic.

My mistake, I got my UP Michigan schools messed up. You were spot on.

Related to my earlier comment about snow, Marquette receives only 149 inches of snow a year. That's a far cry from the 207 inches in Stoughton but still requires the proper construction of buildings to handle snow loads.

And would you look at that, Northern Michigan has an engineering school too.
Looks like you guys got this figured out. I was in both Marquette and Houghton less then a week ago. Can confirm that there is still snow piles in the parking lots in both towns. Keweenaw County, north of Houghton, received 350 inches of snow this year. Can confirm that as of last weekend, there is still some snow on the ground in spots. Did not see any mosquitos.

Hold up. Wait a minute….I spent 10 long years in Moscow between ‘85 and ‘88 and you’re telling ME that that shithole dome was only 11 FUCKING YEARS OLD??? That thing looked a HUNDRED. And still does…biggest pile of shit this side of the Mississippi (well, next to Holt Arena—the state of Idaho has a thing for shitty domes, apparently)…

Serious question. Are the Idaho domes as bad on the inside as they look on the outside? I only ask because the only FCS dome I have been in was at NAU and I thought the Walkup Skydome was pretty decent. Well okay, the food was absolute trash but other than that it was all right. Part of that was skewed because they're so few people there that you don't have to wait in line at the bathroom forever. That's one down side to WaGriz.

At least Idaho State got decent turf eventually. Everybody remember watching horrible injuries on the old carpet over the concrete? Badddd.

I can only say for Holt Arena from firsthand experience, but yes. Maybe they've updated the seats since I've been there, but we're talking bright orange think plastic style bucket seats with the aisles so tight you need to stand up to let someone out of your row.

Was it Ryan Bagley that broke his arm trying to brace from being tackled?

They're both terrible. Idaho State still has concrete underneath, and is just ugly. Idaho's has the worst viewing experience of them all imo, and while it's nice they sell beer there, the concourse is tiny and the lines incredibly long. Football isn't meant to be played indoors. It's just wrong.

You must have experienced Walkup AFTER the renovation...before there was 14,000 seats and 10,000 of them were empty except for Griz games. Now there's only 10,000 seats, so only 6,000 of them are empty except for Griz games.

I-da-hoe and ISU could spend a trillion dollars renovating and their domes would STILL suck. Inside is actually WORSE than outside. Just the fact you have to say "there's an inside and an outside" should tell you all you need to know.

Bozeman's dome designed by Bozeman state engineering students is fu-king epic😂.
It is widely reported that Geiger Berger Associates heavily recruited Montana State College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts graduates circa 1970-1975, to assist with the burgeoning fascination with dome stadium projects. Switching from slide rulers to calculators proved catastrophic to these graduates when developing snow load requirements, often off by a factor of 10. Rumor has it the MSCAMA connection was part of a bet between Hank Stram and Bud Grant, each using Norwegian interpreters on hand for deciphering a pre-superbowl betting marker stenciled in lefsa. At its pinnacle--the HHH Metrodome structure, this defect was masked by the extreme winds one encountered when entering or exiting the facility, and the miscalculation for necessary seat width for neighboring NoDaK visitors. Tearing and collapsing after just 18 years, in December 2010, a Geiger engineer was heard to remark, "I don't understand it, those calculations got us 25 years in Bozeman."

For some reason as i was reading this, in my head i started hearing it in Les Claypools voice from Mephisto and Kevin😁.

100% - I think ISU - to get to say the opposite side of the dome from where you are, you need to go outside and walk around to an entrance the other side. 😂
