To Nick and Jack

Yep, a runningback is clueless about O-line play. You're tool.
I get my info from OL and OL coaches. As I have said, I sometimes watch games with former OL Chuck Burton. 3 of my best former Griz friends are Quinn, Russum and Horn. Quinn Russum and I went to the HK 7’s rugby tourney together a few years after they graduated. They took up a lot of room in our room and partied hard. Schmidt was a benchwarmer. I suppose he had lots of time to watch.

You try to avoid attention?? It’s hard to identify the most asinine thing you’ve ever said on this site but that’s damn sure a contender. There has never been a thread that you didn’t feel the need to insert your old worn out weak resume…or your family…or your pseudo wealth…or your over-inflated opinion of your extremely weak football knowledge.
As a text book narcissist you are always looking for attention…other than promoting Bobby it’s the only reason you are on this site.
Nope. I don’t want attention. Put me on ignore. None of the things are designed for attention. I am not. In any social media other than egriz. Never did LinkedIn for work. Was advised decades ago to keep low internet profile. You are jealous.

Many who have looked at the film disagree with you on the targeting. The tackle on Davis was textbook major tackling penalty.

The Cats are going to get rolled by Ill St.
A hip drop tackle isn't a penalty in college. The targeting couldn't have been more clear. Literal teach tape for refs on what targeting is. It wasn't intentional, but it was targeting. You get helmet to helmet contact like that, it's going to get called every time. If the roles were reversed, you'd call it a dirty hit by MSU.

It was a bullshit call. Dowler was leaning heavily forward, angling to get to the first down with everything he had, and Harper was going low to make the tackle. No different than the tackle in Shafer that took him out. We got screwed on both.

You can sum up Hoops posts like this:

"I talk to the coaches, and they tell me that they're doing a great job and know way more than anybody else here. Anybody that dares to question them, and by proxy, myself, is a know nothing never played football idiot. The coaches, and the players that I give things to, all tell me that they're doing great and there's nothing to worry about."

I would suggest watching it again. He caught the ball, turned his head, and got rocked. Hadn't even begun to try to go upfield yet, so I'm not sure where you're getting the leaning or angling part from. His head level stayed the same throughout. And even if you were correct, which you aren't, it doesn't matter. It's helmet to helmet, it's going to be targeting. It is, in fact, different than the tackle that Shafer took because Shafer didn't get in the head. You didn't get screwed on either call. One was a legal hit, the other wasn't.

It’s absolutely targeting. It was a bang bang play, and the refs couldn’t pick up on it live which has to make it that much more frustrating as a player. Harper is making a play and agree that if he lets up from his course that goes for 6, so what else is he supposed to do? I don’t know why bobcats are still mad about this as appropriate penalty was called on review, Harper was ejected and the whole course of the game changed as his replacement gave up 2 big plays including the play that flipped the whole game.

I can tell you that if Harper isn’t ejected, that same thing probably happens on the 3rd and 20 play because both of those passes are ones that Lamson hung Taco out to dry on 3rd and long. Harper is much more disciplined than Boyd and isn’t turned around in that situation.

Genuine question. If Harper wasn’t ejected earlier, does he make a better play on the ball on 3rd and 20? The guy the let catch it, was that Harper’s replacement?

Ive watched it several times, its targeting in the sense of helmet to helmet. But Harper is at the same level the cats defender was at who hit Shafer. Shafer was extended high, taco was angling forward to get up field as quick as he could. What else was Harper supposed to do?

This is ridiculous. It’s illegal. No matter the intent. At all levels that is a penalty. The ref aren’t the reason we got Molly whopped in the 4th. I can’t stand the victim mentality of always blaming things on the refs. Guarantee Bobby isn’t blaming the loss on the refs. We weren’t prepared.

Not with you here. Watch the replay. Harper could have done nothing about it. He was going to make the play, and dowler trying to leveraged to get across the 1st down marker. Im also not saying its the reason we lost, we got smoked in the 4th. But there were plays that lead us to it. Both can be true. Ask Bobby what he thought of the targeting.

You are wrong. Discussing a football penalty is not victim mentality. Learn something about the game before post incorrect things. You are almost always wrong. Dowler led with his helmet.
