This thread only-- Bobcat- Grizzly trash talk this week, enjoy

Cat fans are not smart, they are going to get their ass kicked this weekend. We are not Mercyhurst and my boys are charged up for this one. This one is personal
You are not smart because the cats are also charged up and know one thinks the Griz are mercyhust

The Cats think Lamson can come in and be a world beater. He has similar stats to McKay
He does except for completion percentage. McKay completed 61% of his passes in 2021 while Lamson has completed 71%. He also runs that offense WAY better and has slightly better stats across the board. I know 10% doesn't sound like a lot but with how modern offense is played with RPOs and short passes, 61% is pretty average. Good QBs hover around 70. I'll admit I'm not a huge football nerd like some other people, so I might be completely wrong and talking out of my ass here, so I'll move on to something I know for sure. Your guys' defense SUCKS this year! With a QB who can actually run that offense and is behind a good oline, you guys are gonna get toasted (that is if we don't run it down your throats like we did last year and even need to throw in the first place).

Its not the biggest start of AhYats life, its just another game. The biggest start of his life will be in Nashville, you can watch from home like you usually do.
You guys usually aren't in that game either. Also whoever wins this wins the conference and will likely get the #2 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs so no, it's not "just another game".

Lamson is not the answer, he has never played in a game of this magnitude and we all know he is gonna shit the bed on Saturday. I am not saying he will have a Bleskin of turnovers (6) but you can almost bank on 3+
So we're just gonna act like that SDSU game and, I don't know, his whole career before coming here didn't happen?

I agree the gris defense isn’t extremely impressive. But they 100% have the best run defense we will see in conference play. On top of this their scheme is tricky and will not be easy for Lamson to hammer, although there is a history of bobcat QBs winning this game on their first start. I like a lot of matchups on the outside and think their is plenty to take advantage of there IF Lamson get be comfortable. I personally don’t think we will run it all over them, at least early as BH and co wants Lamson to pass it as that is likely the biggest weakness.

Not sure why the McKay to Lamson comparisons are happening, Lamson has better numbers than Tommy did last season in conference play, just lacking the explosive run ability. Lamson is much more comparable to the recent XDSU QBs in his style (big dude, can run, can pass, excellent leader, and very officiant).

To be frank whatever QB plays the best will likely win this game. If Ah Yat can find gaps in the 4-2-5 and can find the favorable matchups, the cats d will be in a pickle. If Lamson can calm down and recognize the 3-3-5 pressures and eye candy, of course with the OL’s assistance, he will have success. I believe the cats have an advantage overall due to their impressive 4 man front and their ability to stop the run. On the other side of the ball the gris d-line isn’t what it used to be, specifically with Gubner in 23, and she cats should have a slight advantage in the run which then will force the defense to play more aggressively and open weakness in the secondary.

If you are a fan of Bozeman state Saturday is going to be a catasstrophy. This game will not be close. Little brother is getting locked down, locked out and locked up. The word on the good side of the divide is the matchups definitely do not favor the program that has losing at the very core. Gonna be fun watching you guys bail out in the 3rd quarter and hit the footbridge crying on your way back to east LA

I mostly agree. Like I said, if you pull up McKay's 2021 stats and compare them with Lamson's stats so far, McKay's are only slightly worse. That's why the comparisons are happening, however I'll say again that Lamson runs that offense just as good as Tommy and way better than McKay. MSU will have some trouble with Gillam but overall won't let him dominate. It will come down to who controls the skies on both sides.

You make me laugh, laugh hard.

We are from Montana, this is Griz/Cat week and we are slandering each other more or less anonymously on a smack board. And roughly 99-100% of the people on here are drinking LOW-END domestic beer while they do it. I've got news for you: there isn't one iota of class on either side of the debate. It's a f-cking miracle that any one of us even knows how to use a computer. If any of us had any class, we would probably avoid internet message boards like Hells Bells avoids proper spelling and grammar. We like to get wrecked and yell at a football game. It's not like we are spending our Saturdays taking ballroom dancing lessons and donating blood.

It's rivalry weekend. Take class and shove it up your ass. I'm here to get drunk, key cars, make children cry, drop f-bombs on senior citizens, throw zip-lock bags of my own urine at the handicap seating section, drag women down the stairs by their hair, taser ANYONE wearing blue and gold then puke and rally for kickoff.

It's on, bitches.
