This team could have the most pro-prospects...

Nice work BW! Care to give it another try for 2013? Now that the draft is over it would give us something to talk about/debate other than: 1) The firings/non-renewed contracts. 2) Griz players being fairly/unfairly prosecuted. 3) The merits of drinking and driving.

Yep, been thinking on it - will post that maybe later tonight but more likley tomorrow.

what does this do for recruiting?

I assume you mean my predictions....

No,Looking at next years recruiting. I'm wondering how other teams like EWU or the kittens, will try to counter or disregard the amazing amount of players UofM have had move on the the NFL.

How many Griz are now currently in the NFL? players and coaches?

Beyond those guys I do see a good season ahead for McSurdy and Shaw, however I don't recall the FCS being a very predominant source for linebackers in the pros. McSurdy maybe, but he'd have to have a Shotwell/Gocong/Sherrit type of season.
Durty was the only FCS LB invited to the Combine.

Are you sure on that??

Do some research before you reply. 8-)

This isn't the list I saw some time ago, but Caleb is the only FCS LB on this list.

The funny thing is Caleb wasn't that much better than Jordan, and now Jordan has two years left. He could possibly end up being one of the best Griz linebackers of all time. And just like Caleb, he is a stand out young man!

You can't even compare the two....played different backer positions. An inside/middle backer compared to an outside backer requires two different body types. Plus Caleb had to take blocks on head up compared to Jordan attack from the side....also the defense revolves around your middle backer making strength calls and getting everyone lined up.

So he missed on Sabin, Waldo, Duncan, Atkins, Moore, Moutra, Roots, McCord, Middleton, Shaw and Badger.............

Some of you are bad at math.

How about you take the crystal ball and the wad of cash and send it to my PO Box. When its there I will send you a list of half the starters on this years team and when a few get drafted you can cup my balls and rub my back?

Deal?

I remember betting a case of beer you said Mariani would not even make the practice team...I think he even made it to the Pro Bowl that year....oh yeah you were just kidding....I have seen a pattern with your predictions!!!

:coffee:

I don't get it? If you name most of the seniors on a team an some of them get drafted or get a free agent contract to come to camp that makes you a football genius?

The title of the thread and his initial post said the team could have the most pro-prospects ever. I don't know if 7 getting at least a look for the Griz is the most ever, but it is notable that he at least called it when a year ago many were claiming there was nothing there.

Go back to 2006, and you will see, quite a few posters were we had no NFL talent. :thumb:
