....that all griz fans are latent homosexuals. And using ejizz as a reference, it would seem that the myth is indeed true. Of course this generalization does not include CDA, who is well known for his overt homosexuality.

I was just thinking of the scholarly research grants in order to discern the Maclean Corollary. The Society for the Protection Of Old Bastards (SPOOBS) is offering funds. The methodology I've proposed in the grant is to start in the Yaak at the Dirty Shame Saloon and start drinking, all the while working towards the Bozone while documenting the presence or absence of any bastards. The same methodology would apply starting at the Alzada Bar. Surely your friends at the FSPB can understand the need for additional scholarly research.

I don't think your problems have been recruiting. Your recruiting has been great for several years. Thus I doubt much will change next November unless you have a coaching change during the off season.

So, it's obvious BH recruited Montana hard during his time here. And it's also plainly obvious Pfhlugrad had a different philsophy, apparently feeling he couldn't get the kind of skill players he needed for his offense out of Montana. MD made a slight return to Montana kids, but by then I believe the tide had turned, MSU was seeing some success (even against us) and I don't think it'll ever go back to what it was--when we were able to sign just about anybody we wanted and the 'Scats were left with the crumbs.

Our in-state recruiting looks pretty good compared to Oregon and Oregon State. Their population is 4 times that of Montana and they could only come up with 1 recruit in Oregon between the 2 schools.

I don't think your problems have been recruiting. Your recruiting has been great for several years. Thus I doubt much will change next November unless you have a coaching change during the off season.

That's more the problem than coaching , there lacking talent on defense hence bringing in eight transfers on defense! Recruiting has been some big swings and misses , top three defensive recruits , two didn't make grades , the other one lasted a month and got arrested shortly after dismissal from team!

We have a few Div. 1 ballplayers in Montana, but very few. Many players talked about by posters here as being all world can't start for NAIA teams they go to. We have done very well with the instate players in the past. I believe we picked up 6 of the top 10 in Montana and really didn't have room for many more. There is not enough talent in Mt to win with just instate kids.

Unfortunately, it's more than a rumor. They put Dan down for a dirt nap. He could have just followed my advice re: dealing with the FSPB instead of being so thick-headed.

Unfortunately, it's more than a rumor. They put Dan down for a dirt nap. He could have just followed my advice re: dealing with the FSPB instead of being so thick-headed.

It's a cautionary tale for all. When I was a gumshoe in the late 40's we would find one or two bodies a month up on the Northside. Most victims suffered some form of blunt force trauma. All of them carried the same FSPB calling card, a one-eyed jack pinned to their lapel and a Kennedy half dollar inserted in their rectum.

I think he should be buried at midfield in WG, With the caliber of athletes we recruited this year they should have no problem running around his headstone.

I disagree, I think there are more DI ball players in Montana than a lot of people realize. The thing is it takes most of them a little more time to develop. We just don't have the level of competition or numbers to develop the players at a faster rate than say Texas, California or Washington. Case in point, the O-Lineman from Billings who walked on to Missouri and became I believe a two year starter. Granted his dream was to play for Missouri, but he did it (I just can't remember his name). How many walk-ons or tryout players developed into all stars for both the Cats and Griz? Can either of us win with an all Montana squad? Probably not, but you can field a very large number of Montana players if you are able to take the time to develop them imho.

Max Copeland was the lineman from Billings that spent several years on the Missouri team before finally getting his shot to play for the Tigers.

Let me tell you about the Myth of the "in-State" Truth. For the last 30 years, any Montana kid with a lick of sense wanted to play for the Griz. Except for legacies and engineers, MSU had no draw, and that was regardless of who the coach was at MSU. On the other hand, as Glenn, Hauck and now Stitt have shown, Griz coaches can and do make a difference to Montana kids. The Myth is that MSU coaches can draw Montana kids, when the truth is they tend to offend them into going somewhere else. There's always one exception, and its too bad Brekke fell for the line of Ash berries....
