So, let's talk about the future...coaching staff and recruiting...
Has Bob Stitt done enough at the University of Montana to:
1. Coach next season? Working for a contract.
2. Earn a one-year extension to see if he can pull it together?
3. Earn a full three-year extension to double down and give him some space to build?
Last year, we had one of the best recruiting classes in the FCS. Will Stitt replicate that this year?

There is no way that Stitt will not be here next year unless it's his doing, that speculation can be put to bed now and not rehashed a million times the next few months...they will not pay him not to coach.
I don't see an extension coming soon the way the team regressed this year, the team that was on the field the last two weeks was a shell of the team that was on the field the first 6 weeks. I'm not going to say he is coaching for his job next year, but in my opinion he should be. This team has issues with coaching, schemes, and possibly chemistry...a Griz team that plays flat in the Cat/Griz game is a major concern, there just wasn't the normal energy past the first series.
Next year? There should be some improvement from the young guys of which there are many, but until the line play becomes consistent on both sides of the ball we are going to struggle, that has to be priority one. And who is going to run this show...Phillips? How about Jensen, I had a feeling he was the guy Stitt was eyeballing but does he have what it takes?
Someone is really going to have to step up and become a leader and show that they can run this offense or we will be struggling to put up 17 points, and you know what that means in this conference.
Hopefully Stitt can have another good recruiting year and picks the right QB, but there are more questions than answers at this point and, not trying to be negative, I have a feeling that we may be in the same boat as we were this week, clawing our way to a playoff berth if we can get there.
