The scats did not win that game

That Griz defense was pretty good. They just needed a passing game.

Funny that you guys think I'm hammered. I'm not. Hell I even went to MSU for 2 years and couldn't stand it and came home. When you have scat fans jawing in your ear the whole game about how the scats should hurt some players or some BS about raping someone it will get to even the most tolerant of fans. Let me make this clear. I have no problem with the kids on the field. Both teams played their hearts out today. It was an ugly game to say the least. Could the Griz have executed better? You damn well better believe it. Should the Cat's have played a lot better? With a #2 ranking you would have hoped so. I think the Griz shot themselves in the foot more than the Cat's played a good game. My problem with this game is the cat fans that come here, run their mouths, and act like they won the national championship. WAKE UP CATS. If you keep playing like this, your post-season will be very short lived.

Agree that there are way too many asshole Cat fans out there who love to talk shit. This happens when you get your asses handed to you for two decades. Also agree that the Cats need to play a hell of a lot better if they are going to get past their first playoff game. What I don't agree with is getting pissed off at the team because Cat fans piss you off. It was just one of those games for the Griz today....defense played lights out but the offense didn't. Credit the best defense in the BSC a little bit too. The sun will rise tomorrow and there will be dickheads on both sides talking mad shit. Don't blame you for being upset though.

Don't really recall directing this at any players. I have the utmost respect for the players on the field, especially the Griz. Mostly directing it at the cats fans walking around like they are the best thing that ever happened to football. The few times this year that the Griz have been able to put together a complete game on both sides of the ball, they have been down right scary. If that had happened today then I have no doubt the outcome would have been totally different. Do I have respect for the Cat players? Yes, of course I do. Still doesn't change the fact that I credit their win today more to the Griz underplaying and being under coached to their own potential, rather than the cats playing like they should as a team ranked #2
 
I don't think anyone gives a shit what you attribute the Griz loss to. You can take it like a man or you can act like a little bitch knowing that its exactly what 'Cats fans are comin here to see: whiney bitches who claim to be the hardest of hardcore Griz fans. Great stuff.

awww that's cute. Look at you trying to be clever. Last time I checked this was forum where people could come to express and discuss their opinion with other people that were griz fans. Am I the most hardcore griz fan out there? No. Not by a long shot. Am I incredibly passionate about the school that I graduated from and their football team? Hell. Yes. If you have a problem with me expressing my frustration when I see my team under-achieving then you can get the hell out. I did not ask you to read this nor did I ask you to put on a show trying to show everyone how big of a man you think you are

Sorry about your game day experience. I was surrounded by cat fans and we actually made a pretty fun day of it. The Cats, in my opinion were revealed as a team that had a rough day getting past a team with an ineffectual coach and no kicking game whatsoever. I will sleep well tonight and hope that our players are satisfied that they gave it everything they had. That's good enough for me.

Right there with you. I had a couple of guys behind me that were cat fans and we could discuss quite a bit and it was great, but some of the crap I heard spewing out of the other cat fans around us made for a day where I spent quite a bit of time biting my tongue. I have nothing but respect for the players

Yeah I guess I did... since they won.

Playcalling and some sketchy calls by the refs were an issue at times but most questionable calls by the refs easily seemed like they could have gone both ways - they weren't blatant bad calls. Playcalling is part of the game and execution on the field really makes it happen. I saw errors by players too. Gratton catches that early drive pass in the endzone and who knows. Hermanson makes a 2nd pick on a drive that I think the cats got 3 points out of... who knows. Lider makes his kicks... yeah you get it.

Cats won TOP and # of first downs. Griz won total yards by a couple but that can be attributed to soft coverage by the Cats at the end. Cats played great on defense but on offense they had their worst outing of the year. Hard to say the Cats didn't earn this one imo.
 
None of it matters now. That's a wrap. The season of 2012 (a rough one, I might add) has came to end. In many ways... THANK GOD that's over!! Now time to move on and hope next season is equivalent to what we're used to. No point on dwelling on the past. (I just gotta keep tellin myself this so I don't go back to being angry for the next 10 months.) GO GRIZ!!!!!!

This was exactly my point that I was trying to make though. Yes the title of my thread was a little outrageous, but at the end of the day our showed up ready to win and the offense left quite a few points on the field. That game was there for us to take, as the cats were not having a good game at all, and we lost it. If the cats came out and just put us down and dominated the game for the most part then ok, but in reality I see this more like the griz were just unable to execute and pull out the win.
 
As soon as the game ended, I thought to myself : well great now Griz fans are gonna say "haha the best Cat team barely beat the worst Cat team in history".
 
The GRIZ have only themselves to blame. The Cats sure in the hell did win this game. The difference was they capitalized on opportunities, and the GRIZ choked. Why is that so difficult to realize and admit?

Good luck to MSU in the playoffs.
