I'm sick of NDSU Go Hawkeyes, I don't care about perception of the country on FCS football. Plenty of FCS programs have talent, all you need to do is look at NFL rosters. NDSU has been on their high horse for to long, time for them to be brought down to earth.

Why wouldn't you be high on your horse if you were an NDSU fan? We've witnessed as a fan base an unprecedented level of success from NDSU's program. The alumni and fans should be proud of the team.

It's undisputed that NDSU has the greatest dynasty in FCS history. You guys should take it in and appreciate what you have watched over the last 5 years. You will likely never see a run like NDSU has had ever again.

Maybe if the Griz won 5 consecutive national championships and started beating FBS teams from P5 conferences, ESPN would feel the same love for your program.

Well, it is true that the last time I saw a undsuer run, I prayed to God that I'd never see it again. There were rolls and flabs and shit flying everywhere.

This is one of the things I don't understand about you guys. An NDSU win is good for the FCS, including us. Most of the country sees this massive gap in competition, and it's good when that is proven wrong. They are 5-0 in their last five FBS games. No, they are not beating Bama, but they are not beating Idaho either.

It's no different that "The Ginger" having success in the NFL. It's good for impression of FCS football, and that benefits us. Whether or not the resentment (and bit of jealousy) you gals have for NDSU will let you see that is a different story.

I disagree, it's not really good for the FCS. Most the big time programs are no longer scheduling FCS teams and most power 5 conf. Are banning then or frowning down upon them. The big programs already know a good FCS team can hang with a decent FBS team and spoil a heavyweight looking past them. One team winning vs FBS teams will not change the opinion of an FBS fan base. They know that if you took most FCS teams and played them vs FBS teams week in and out they would fail...as the majority of teams that move up do. If you think NDSU beating Iowa will do anything for the FCS you are incorrect. It will surely make people look down at Iowa and their conf. Will question should Iowa even be playing this type of game, but it's not boosting FCS really at all. ESPN doesn't even respect FCS and a win here is not going to change that. ESPN will talk about it for a day, but it's not going to make that average college fan turn on the Montana vs Eastern game when it's on tv. I for one don't even think FBS should play FCS teams...but I also think about 1/4 (at least) of FBS teams should be moved to FCS. Just like when I was talking to a group of fans in Denver and they watched the app st vs Tennessee game. None of them knew they were FCS a few years ago and none of them cared. They thought they were a team that had been FBS forever and just sucked...just like middle Tennessee or north Texas or Idaho or New Mexico. You see people don't care about the FCS unless they are involved in it....and that's fair to say because we are not the Premier college football league, we're division 2 in everyone's eyes but our own. One win or 5 wins or 10 wins won't change that. NDSU might get some recognition but mainly for just being a powerhouse and being too good for the FCS but it doesn't really gain the FCS anything, the only thing that gets the FCS attention is good games in primtime slots that a produced major media. Playoff games are usually the examples of this but they are consistently filled with mediocre games at places with 7k fans and often lose in ratings to high school games. I just don't see NDSU dominating the FCS or even FBS teams as a positive for the FCS in any fashion. But it does wonders for NDSU as a school and for their football prestige.

Na egriz is just fun given the level of Bison discussion. The only time I post on here is when you guys talk about NDSU. Given that this is the second most talked about team on egriz, I happen to have material to talk about on here. If egriz members didn't spend time talking about NDSU I wouldn't be here.

Seriously.... Nothing better than the passion of NDSU and Montana fans. I am pretty sure that next week we will not be ranked #1 and will have a loss..... But you never know. Best of luck this season to the Griz. I am still hoping to get a NDSU /Montana Championship game before Mom gets too frail to travel. We would both have fun with that!

There is no way Iowa wins this game. Mark it 6 in a row over FBS teams for the Bison and that will go right along with the 6th national championship ring we get this year. We thrive off all the hate and its cute but NDSU football will not lose to Iowa it's just not going to happen.

I almost always root for the FCS team over the FBS team. This game is no exception.

I agree with Raider. I really don't like that this board seems to be obsessed with hatred of MSU and NDSU, but I guess NDSU fans should be flattered by that...
