First, I would agree with one of the last posts that App State looked out of place and I am aware of some but not sure of all the reasons (as I was there to see it live). The primary reasons that should be noted were that it was how well Montana was prepared and how well that team performed (Congrats to the Griz - very impressive). My hope as a Mountaineer is that our young men learn the lesson in life sooner than later that it is not getting knocked down or your @$! whooped that is the problem but how you are going to respond. There is a lot of change at App these days and I hope this team uses it as opportunity to step up and respond with passion, class and heart on and off the field! I am confident that they will!
Second, I would like to express my appreciation to almost all the Griz fans my friends and I met during our time in Montana who were very kind and/or at least respectful to us! We enjoyed ourselves... from the beauty of Glacier Nat'l Park and fishing on the Blackfoot to several nights in Missoula and the tailgate experience before the game.
One request.... if anyone knows anyone at the tailgate spot (truck with two bear sculptures in the bed holding Griz flags located on the walk up from the bridge), could you help me connect with them? I would appreciate it as I left my small camera bag with 2 or 3 memory cards and an extra battery - holds pictures from our trip to Montana and pictures of other family vacations with my daughter that I would like to get back. My email is
[email protected]. They were very hospitable, passionate for their team and very cool to welcome this Mountaineer from Dallas, TX. I hope I find another Griz fan who will be just as cool and help me out.
Good luck to the Griz the rest of year! Thanks
