I agree. App St. is not a very good team. They are a 7th place team in the Big Sky this year. The Big Sky conf is really strong this year. Unfortunately, ND State is a cut above all.

I know, I know...Monmouth beats them 28-3. You're better, we stink. Litter box is better stadium than WaGriz...etc, etc, etc

No, you guys have a very good team. But, App St. is not what they were. It was a good win but your competition in the Big Sky will be much tougher for all of us. Parity has landed. EWU win tonight was awesome. Weber had a nice win. Let's see what the Cat's do at SMU. It's early in the season. A lot will happen with injuries, etc. Feel good about your win and celebrate. Congratulations on your win. Van is a beast. Your offensive line was super. A great beginning to the season. I do feel that ND ST. isa cut above everyone!
You lost everyone with your "depth" B.S. comments...It works peddling used cars, but not here...poser zib. After week 1 it's GRIZ +1...plain and simple. :egriz:

CDA get a life dude. Stop acting like an immature idiot. Take pride in your win tonight. It seems like all you want to do is get in a pissing contest. You guys had a nice win tonight. All I said is that it is going to be tough season for everyone in this conference. There is more parity than ever. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Duly noted. I'm not the one marginalizing this win by saying App State isn't good, so I'm not sure where your comment stands vis a vis "pissing contests." Keep on winning around here; it's fun to watch.

Mmmmm.... Not surprised by the lack of hospitality on this site when giving the fellow griz fans a pat on the back for a good win, and being called a tool in the process. And our fan base is so called bad.... lol
Coming in and saying "Nice win, but ASU actually really sucks, so....yeah....congrats" isn't exactly giving us a pat on the back.

This tool (bigsky33) is trying to argue that your Monmouth win was better when it clearly and objectively wasn't.

Hey it was a good win for the griz, i'm not denying that. Most Cat fans including myself would say App is a more worthy opponent than Monmouth. But in all honesty why do most of the griz fans on this site continuously give cat fans crap when we swapped out NDSU for... more money, playing a FBS team, and playing a team in a state we recruit heavily in? Sounds like a better move to me.

After watching the game I can confidently say this: Griz have the best QB in the conference. Griz have the best RBs in the conference. Griz have the best WRs in the conference. Griz have the best OL in the conference. Griz have the best DL in the conference. Griz have the best LBs in the conference. Griz DBs are top three in the conference and the Griz special teams are not going to be a weakness this year. Add it all up and the Griz are going to Frisco baby! Mark it down bitches!

Haha your glasses must not be the typical light shade of maroon but a darker shade. Surprised you were even able to watch the game. Dream on, at this point I'd say its safe to say it's going to be NDSU vs Eastern... but then again who knows what can happen between here and Frisco.

WTF? No love for the cants. I would have thought you would have them in the top 2? Eastern sounds good, by to not count SHSU as a contender is foolhardy. There are about 4 teams who could end up playing NDSU. They appear to be the only lock on Frisco as near as I can tell.

Because it came off just a teensy tiny bit cowardly.

You already had a game in Texas, anyways.

Either way, it's cool, even if those reasons seem pretty hollow.

Oh, and we give you crap because it's a Griz board, and you guys coming over here while claiming to have any intentions other than trolling or stirring the shit also seems pretty hollow. :thumb:

Go ahead and believe it if it helps you sleep better at night bs33. The cats and the rest of the Big Sky better be ready. Hibernation is over and the Griz are coming for ya!

EWU most likely beats the cats at home, but they will not beat the Griz in Missoula. And I will absolutely take the Griz over the cats in bozo. I like the Griz chances over the rest of the conference which does indeed look improved again this year.

Why won't EWU beat the Griz at home? If I remember right they just beat Oregon State who was ranked #25 on the road, what makes wa-griz any tougher than Reeser Stadium?

Wa-Griz is a better stadium than Reser, Missoula is a better town than Corvallis, Griz are a better team than ewu...capice?

you forgot to also add that wa-griz is better than bryant-dennehy stadium, that missoula is better than Tuscaloosa, and the griz are better than Alabama! :thumb:

You're right soldiercat. JJ would pick apart the Alabama D but it would be a close game for sure. The Griz may become the first FCS team to be invited to a BCS bowl game (which I think they'll decline in favor of rolling through the playoffs and claiming yet another FCS NC).

An interesting analysis about a team that finished 8 - 4 last year with 18 (-1 for this game) returning starters.

Or is that because Appalachian State lost in the Second Round to Illinois State in overtime last year? I would say that two teams that finished a game tied and having to go into overtime are pretty equivalent, at least in that regards. I guess that's enough right there to say that such-n-such "is not a very good team" these days, though. And to think that very same Illinois State lost to EWU by 16 points. Well, the MSU Bobcats didn't do any better, either, now did they? In fact, worst by two points, than Illinois State did in last years' FCS Playoffs. Losing in the Quarterfinals by 18 points. The last I checked the Quarterfinals retains the last eight teams standing. So if a team losses to you guys in overtime they're no better than seventh place in the BSC, huh. Some more of your warped logic, is it?

Oh, wait a minute, now I see. MSU 'did' share co-championship of the BSC regular season last year. So, no matter what anyone else does, they're naturally lesser than a you know who. No matter who they are. Even the team that beats you?

"The BSC is really strong this year:"..and we all know who was a co-champion last year, now don't we? So that naturally means that a co-champion is so much better. Right? Even if they lose by more in the same Round of the Playoffs than the team that "is not a very good team;" equivalently speaking.

I guess having "blue and gold" coloured glasses isn't as delusional as having "marooned" coloured glasses these days. You'd quite naturally concede on that point now wouldn't you.

Who else but an MSU fan would actually say that the Bobcats are still better than the team that just beat them? And to go ahead and say that they'd be no better than seventh in the BSC just in order to say: "I told you we were better...didn't we?"

Your 'Top of the Heap Syndrome' doesn't give credit to A-N-Y-O-N-E!!!
Honey dripping off their lips while they spit in everyone's face. Be careful for what you wish for.

WARNING: Do not allow Bobcat fans to play around with sharp objects.

Sorry Im late Griz nation, and congratulations on a dominating win, I haven't seen a Mountaineer team that out of place in quite a while. Go all the way now, and protect the three-peat status for us!

First, I would agree with one of the last posts that App State looked out of place and I am aware of some but not sure of all the reasons (as I was there to see it live). The primary reasons that should be noted were that it was how well Montana was prepared and how well that team performed (Congrats to the Griz - very impressive). My hope as a Mountaineer is that our young men learn the lesson in life sooner than later that it is not getting knocked down or your @$! whooped that is the problem but how you are going to respond. There is a lot of change at App these days and I hope this team uses it as opportunity to step up and respond with passion, class and heart on and off the field! I am confident that they will!

Second, I would like to express my appreciation to almost all the Griz fans my friends and I met during our time in Montana who were very kind and/or at least respectful to us! We enjoyed ourselves... from the beauty of Glacier Nat'l Park and fishing on the Blackfoot to several nights in Missoula and the tailgate experience before the game.

One request.... if anyone knows anyone at the tailgate spot (truck with two bear sculptures in the bed holding Griz flags located on the walk up from the bridge), could you help me connect with them? I would appreciate it as I left my small camera bag with 2 or 3 memory cards and an extra battery - holds pictures from our trip to Montana and pictures of other family vacations with my daughter that I would like to get back. My email is [email protected]. They were very hospitable, passionate for their team and very cool to welcome this Mountaineer from Dallas, TX. I hope I find another Griz fan who will be just as cool and help me out.

Good luck to the Griz the rest of year! Thanks

Because the Cats suck. Go to your own site and be a dumbass.
