i think we're talking about the same thing. My understanding is you buy out a contract if you don't have a basis (or don't want to reveal your basis) for terminating (i.e., Pflu). I'm saying we DO have a basis for terminating Delaney = his horrible coaching. That is what he was hired to do and he has failed. Part of his job description should be that he kicks off only once per game. If an employee does something incredibly stupid on the job, do you think they should be bought out or fired? In my mind, if you don't agree with an employee's approach, even tho they are getting results, you buy them out. But if they suck at what they do, you fire them.
