28 - 20 win against the Yotes from USD? Really? That's all you could muster? I felt if you guys beat them by 20 or more then your team is good this year. A little let down to be honest.

Did you watch the game at all? It was 28-13 late, and by that point we'd missed three FG's. There's your 20 points. Now shove it up your ass and go worry about your performance against Weber f***[*] State a couple weeks ago.
Wow. I'm sensing a little hostility. Calm down a little.

Now regarding that game... Yes, you were up 28-13 late and the last score was basically due to playing prevent defense. But why are you guys pointing out the missed field goals like that is an oddity for your team? Hasn't that been a consistent problem so far this year? Also, i saw Montana was +3 in the turnover ratio in the USD game. Have the griz been forcing a lot of turnovers or was last game more of the exception? Have you had many turnovers this year?

I saw some people making comments about JJ not looking very sharp. Is that a legitimate concern or were people overreacting?

GRIZ offense has not given away any turnovers. Defense has created 6 turnovers. Yes, JJ is not as accurate as he was last season, and missing some open WR's. We need him to play like he is capable of to beat NDSU. I am sure he will continue taking care of the ball though.
Thanks for the reply. My main concern with NDSU is the play of the offensive line. They looked dominant in the Iowa State game, but they haven't looked nearly as good in the last 2 games. They will have to play well for NDSU to win this game. I think both teams will have trouble scoring a lot of points.

Agreed. Many Bison fans are thinking they'll run away with this one, but it's going to be a low scoring affair.

So did alphagriz end up selling his username like he talked about last year, because he seems like more of an NDSU fan than a Griz fan.

I know this will be hard for some of you to grasp, but that arrogance you are referring to is EXACTLY how many of the griz fan base used to act back when you were on top of the FCS, and in fact some fans still act that way, even though you've fallen from your perch. That arrogance is why most true Cat fans can't stand anything grizzly.
When you lose 16 in a row to your instate rival, saying the word, "hello" is interpreted as an act of arrogance. That one is not hard to grasp.

I so is chanting FTG at every home game....and dragging a stuffed animal Grizzly Bear in your homecoming parade....not just the Griz/Cat game

Have they been shaky?

All that info is readily available on the internet. As is your performance against Weber. If I were you, I'd worry about which team shows up for the Bison on Saturday, the one that played Weber, or the one that beat Iowa State.
Alright then. Sorry for trying to have an actual discussion about the game.

You want to have an "actual" discussion, don't start it with statements like "28-20 was all you could muster"? Comments like that make you look like a troll. I'm sorry you feel "let down" by our performance this past weekend. Hopefully you don't feel too let down after Saturday.

Can you please show me where I said "28-20 was all you could muster"? I didn't say that I felt "let down" by your performance this past weekend. You have me confused with another poster. It helps if you look at the names of the people that are posting to determine who said what.

You need to put a leash on this guy. With YOU, we'll have an actual discussion.

Arrogance of girlz fans(it was a mistype, but I decided to leave it for grins and giggles) is due to their dominance over the rest of the Big Sky, including the streak against the Cats. Hatred of all things griz comes from that arrogance including that from bobby h. He was unbearable but he added to the rivalry's intensity. I'm not going to say I wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire...actually come to think of it, it would be kind of fun to spit on him....I kid, I kid. Him and Kramer are friends I guess, so he can't hate all things Cat as much as he puts out that persona. I think the attitude of a lot of Cat fans now comes from having to put up with that stuff during the streak. I can remember the last year of the streak and having griz fans walking through our tailgate shouting all sorts of rude things. I would never dream of going to an opponents home game and shouting horrible insults to everyone. I could not make it through the tailgates by the M in Missoula last year without having obscenities thrown my way from people I didn't even know. And random griz students sitting in our student section and spouting off and taunting the whole student section over everything that went their way on the field. This was during the streak. And then they acting surprised when stuff started getting thrown at them. Two guys in the middle of the student section. Idiots. I realize that everyone has douchebag fans. If you know me, you know I'm a Cat fan because I will give you a little good natured ribbing with a great big smile on my face so you know I'm just giving you a hard time. At least one poster here knows who I am and we give each other a hard time on Facebook(I always win our verbal jousting too, you're no competition to me JL), but its all for laughs.

I predict a big win by the Bison. Like say 48-13. I hope its a close game,(I honestly do), but from what I've gathered from you guys, it sounds like JJ hasn't been himself this year. I haven't watched you guys play other than the 1st quarter of this last weekends game that I had recorded, until the Denver game came on. By the way, your color commentator needs to learn the difference between a 6 and an 8. He credited Van with a lot more plays than he made. Some when Van wasn't even on the field. If the O can't stay on the field,(which I predict they won't) the D will eventually get worn out. I see the griz hanging with NDSU for maybe a quarter and a half. The Bison seem to play close to teams they shouldn't play close and blow out teams that you expect a close game from sometimes. I'm just going by memory here, I don't feel like looking their scores up.

If you're giving 35, I'd like to place a bet for $10,000.

He mistakes 6 & 8 alot because the uniforms bunch up and it's difficult to tell the difference (both fellas being black and all)...he also mistakes 26 for 38 a lot, giving credit to Canada for Nguyen runs and vice-versa....that one's a little more perplexing, except for the fact they're both short and fast and running backs.

How bout I give 18.5 and I'll go to Draught works next time I'm in Missoula and buy you a pint on their buy a friend a beer board if you lose by less. Like wise you for me if it goes the other way. I think its going to be close, like within a touchdown close, or a blow out win for NDSU. I just think its going NDSU's way big for some reason. Now, my gut could be wrong, mind you. Right now its full of gas station coffee, so I wouldn't take too much from it.

In a Sunday night chat the Forums beat writer is picking the Griz by 3. His reasoning is a streak like this doesn't last forever. He has been pretty accurate in the past. I look forward to a very good game. Did you know that Montana has never traveled to Fargo before? I know this Bison fan is looking forward to a great matchup.

NDSU has had way more penalties than normal mostly due to an inexperienced OL. I still feel the defense is in good shape at NDSU(next year could be a completely different story) due to the experience of the LBs and safties. Two of the LBs are 4 year starters and both safties are also 4 year starters. Kyle Emanuel is a 4 year starter at DE and is having a superb season so far. NDSU's offense is still a bit shaky if you ask me which could make for a very close game.

Good luck to the Griz on Saturday.

Penalties will definitely hurt the Bison on Saturday if that keeps up. Honestly for how young our O-Line is this year, I'm surprised how good and disciplined they have played to this point. No matter who wins this game on Saturday, it should go down as a classic.
