The NDSU message board

Hey Griz Fans,
Enough on the stadium loudness discussion.
I wish our stadium was bigger too, but it is what it is. Oh by the way we haven't lost a nonconference game or playoff game there in 4 years. The Dome is a TOUGH place for opposing teams.

28 - 20 win against the Yotes from USD? Really? That's all you could muster? I felt if you guys beat them by 20 or more then your team is good this year. A little let down to be honest.

We'll see how the Griz handle it in Fargo next Saturday: This Bison team will be ready, but I know many of your Fans remember 2003 at your place so revenge factor is there. Won't matter.

Score - Bison 34 - Griz 14.

Any thoughts?

Bis Bison Fan.

You guys are still cocky as sh!t and you haven't been a relevant FCS power for years now....reminds me of Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite lusting after his high school football days...

If you guys could win one NC let alone back to back NCs, you would be unf'ingBEARABLE.

Why don't you guys just worry about how you're going to harass the next visiting team as they try to leave your field. Keep it classy.

Poorgriz, I have no problem with anything you said about Griz fans past and present. But I'm sorry, THE STREAK is the No. 1 reason for hatred and YOU KNOW IT.

Also, can I ask an honest question? You said Griz Nation had that arrogance like NDSU fans do now when we were on our perch atop the FCS. What is the new generation of MSU fan's arrogance based on then? The two trips to the quarterfinals in the last 30 years?

BisBison,

How bout that weber state game????? Iron eagle why don't you try making it to another NC before you should even post about multi-NC!!!

Hello Griz Fans,
Most Bison Fans are really great people to be around. We get nervous for each game and keep it all in perspective. There is always some over the top knuckle heads who will wreck a message board.
We have had this game on our calendar since it was booked, and we are looking forward to probably the best FCS game of the year with you in Fargo next Saturday. Its not about the record of 27 straight wins, we just want our team to continue to not look past the next game as well as fans. That seems to be the key.
Yes its the Griz's first time to the Fargo Dome, and yes you have a awesome stadium in Missoula, but let me tell you your team will need to play a perfect game, 0 turnovers and maybe a special team play or score to help pull off the upset. However we too must do what we do, 0 turnovers, and just line up and see who can go 4 qtrs. until the gun blows.
We have had some slow starts, and some penalties that we have not seen in a long time over the past couple games. If we start slow and penalties occur on the Herd, this Griz team will be difficult to overcome. We need to start faster. Good teams are tough to come back on. This concerns me.
Have a good trip to Fargo for those that are coming. The game is on NBC TV in ND I don't know about Montana broadcasting. Usually 710am or 55am is play by play Scottie Miller who is FANTASTIC to listen too.

I won't wish you luck, but you have our attention and respect coming to Fargo.
Lets play ball.

Bis Bison Fan.
Should be a great week to build up in the media for this one.

First of all...this is a very kind post. Thanks Bis Bison.

Secondly, it's finally time to eat some crow for these 2nd generation Griz fans that have been on here and have been assholes for the past several years. Most of which why I leased my tickets this year.
Don't get me wrong, I want my Griz to win. I have watched every single Bison game this year and I can tell you this, it ain't gonna happen. We are so overrated as a #4 compared to Ewoo and NDSU, not even funny....
Jordy is wrecked. That team is unstoppable. I will take honest bets give me 24 1/2 and we can throw the money at the improvements for UM.
Additionally, who cares if their board is being overly cocky, they have all the right to be. I kinda remember us doing the same thing when we set the streak (which they just beat, and won an additional title ). I just hope it doesn't get away from the "original" fans like it has ours...

Well, here are my thoughts. The bison hold a distinct edge in offensive consistency, but I feel the defenses are similar, with the bison getting the nod based only on recent success. However, your comment about beating USD by 20 or more to be in your mind a "good team" is misplaced and uninformed. The griz were in the redzone 3 times and came away with 0 points. That's a stat that simply doesn't show up on the scoreboard due to our atrocious kicking game, which is a topic that has been beat to death on this board. Suppose we make those field goals, the complexion of the game would be vastly different. Had we made those the score would have been 37-20; had we punched in touchdowns on those drives, however, the scoreboard would have read 49-20. Long and short of it is that this griz team is on the verge of being a fantastic, very tough team to beat. If the griz can correct those errors by punching in at least one of those red zone trips for a td and making the other two field goals they will be in good shape.

Did you watch the game at all? It was 28-13 late, and by that point we'd missed three FG's. There's your 20 points. Now shove it up your ass and go worry about your performance against Weber fucking State a couple weeks ago.

Well, to be perfectly honest, they earned that right.

In many regards yes. However, repeatedly saying we don't know what loud is, or similar references just is not true. As the prior poster mentioned, it has been proven time and time again Washgriz is louder.
Yes they have earned it just like Montana has.

Washgriz is louder for visiting teams but dead silent when the Griz have the ball. Some how I think it might be slightly louder in the Fargo Dome when the Griz have the ball.

Wow. I'm sensing a little hostility. Calm down a little.

Now regarding that game... Yes, you were up 28-13 late and the last score was basically due to playing prevent defense. But why are you guys pointing out the missed field goals like that is an oddity for your team? Hasn't that been a consistent problem so far this year? Also, i saw Montana was +3 in the turnover ratio in the USD game. Have the griz been forcing a lot of turnovers or was last game more of the exception? Have you had many turnovers this year?

I saw some people making comments about JJ not looking very sharp. Is that a legitimate concern or were people overreacting?

GRIZ offense has not given away any turnovers. Defense has created 6 turnovers. Yes, JJ is not as accurate as he was last season, and missing some open WR's. We need him to play like he is capable of to beat NDSU. I am sure he will continue taking care of the ball though.

The missed field goals are mentioned because they were very make-able field goals that were missed. It gets old fasts missing a lot of them. Also for turnovers, we had 2 against Wyoming, 1 against Central Washington, and 3 against South Dakota. Our defense has done a good job at forcing turnovers so far.

All that info is readily available on the internet. As is your performance against Weber. If I were you, I'd worry about which team shows up for the Bison on Saturday, the one that played Weber, or the one that beat Iowa State.
