You guys slay me. I think some of you are actually convinced you're a good team.
Never mind you haven't beat anybody worth a damn.
Oh but you almost beat EWU right? Yeah they would have put 70 on you if Gubrud wasn't a half-click off in the first half, but I suppose guys wide open in the endzone don't matter if the QB misses them, it was probably a Semore scheme.
Oh but the comeback against Weber right? Another 70 if they hadn't taken their foot off the gas, or does that only count in games like the UNC game? "We eased up after halftime on UNC, but Weber was going full-out and we had them on the ropes". Sure.
Oh but NAU right? This is the best one of all. Cookus rams it down your throat in 3 minutes but "they wouldn't have scored any more if he would have been in there". What a joke, he would have lit it up like a pinball machine and everybody knows it but the delusional ones on here.
About a dozen of you get it, but they are quickly turned on when they point out obvious things, so most of the crowd just silently watches and wonders. But hey, 7-3 right? Maybe a playoff berth if you beat the Cats?
Here's what's going to happen Saturday, and the best part is Stitt will do it to himself. Air Napoleon will have his guys sprinting to the line every down, probably score some early but eventually the 3 and outs will come because he'll send in his usual bullshit playbook and outthink himself. Eventually what that will mean is the big Cat offensive line wearing down the Griz defense and Murray and company will run wild...again...because our line is much better than most and your defense will be on the field for 40 minutes like always. And Saturday night everbody will be calling for Semore and Stitts head except the apologists who will lobby for a 12-year extension.
I can accept quite a bit of this. But your assumptions are based on a false appreciation of the MSU defense, which is pretty poor. Delusional is expecting that defense to keep Montana from scoring and scoring a lot. It will come down to who can score the most. And don't expect a naïve UM defense like last year.
Cookus rammed it down our throat? Did he put any points on the board before he excused himself? Of course your lame argument could be reversed if either Phillips or Jensen had been available. We found a way to win with a receiver at QB. Finding a way to win may be the difference between being 7-3 and 4-6. I think the game is a tossup.
+1. cat offensive line and tailback are very good. Their defense is not - particularly their secondary. GJ is going to rip them apart. Griz score 40+. Just gotta hold murray and lasane to 39.
Compared to what, your shutdown defense? They have really turned the corner right? Or is it more that they have played a UND team down half the starters, shut down Weber the second half (first half must have been an outlier), played against a QB who never takes a snap, and most recently played a team that has given up after Halloween? That's a quality portfolio, how's the rest of their body of work? Still letting receivers get behind them 6 times a game?
This should be an easy game to defend, we have a QB who can run, a decent RB, and 1 receiver. That's it. Semore Butts should be able to stop that cold, but he won't. We'll have to pass more than last year, but someone will be wide open deep as usual because that's what you do and Semore will be shitting his pants packing the line trying to stop the bleeding.
