I can accept quite a bit of this. But your assumptions are based on a false appreciation of the MSU defense, which is pretty poor. Delusional is expecting that defense to keep Montana from scoring and scoring a lot. It will come down to who can score the most. And don't expect a naïve UM defense like last year.

Cookus rammed it down our throat? Did he put any points on the board before he excused himself? Of course your lame argument could be reversed if either Phillips or Jensen had been available. We found a way to win with a receiver at QB. Finding a way to win may be the difference between being 7-3 and 4-6. I think the game is a tossup.

Didn't say anything about the cat defense except they would be scored on some, and yeah Cookus rammed it down your throat, just because they screwed up at the end of the drive doesn't mean it wouldn't happen 12 more times, which it would have.

The above bolded statement is pure genius and really going out on a limb. You mean to say if Gubrud never misses a pass they score more points? Wow truly a rare mind. That statement couldnt be applied to other teams and QBs could it? If Murray could complete 33% of his passes think how good the Cat offense could be.

I think the other errant assumption is the 3/0’s coming later, that’s usually an early game issue. My only other thought is that Semore added a bridge abutment named Shaw this season. He’s eating blocks this last five games. Jesse Sims is playing very well, don’t see that big offensive line winning the day.

Interesting if you watch a replay or single out Sims during a game, kid is really learning to do his job and he is often pushing two guys backwards while they have hold of him. Not huge in the stats yet but he's been a big help to other players by just doing his thing. Kid is a beast.

The standards are at that level because the Griz have achieved that level of performance for many decades on a consistent basis.
