"The House That Rob Built"

Premier showing of documentary last night at the Wilma. Full house, lots of ex-players and fans. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Lots of segments and interviews with former players and coaches. Touched on his own career, his family, his support of Native American players, Montana kids in general, rivalry with Bobcats, and the many "big" games his program participated in.

Selvig's comments following the show were very humble and genuine. All of those great seasons ended with losses as do they do for most teams in most sports. Despite all the successes his teams had, the movie seemed to successfully deliver the message that there is so much more to sports and teams than wins and losses. There were a lot of "wet eyes" in "Rob's House" following the movie.

Selvig is a Montana treasure!

Sounded like a great documentary, well deserved! Sadly, the program lately and for the foreseeable future is middle of the pack Big Sky Conference at best.

...if it hasn't already been done...
...something named in his honor...
...something big something special...

... 8-) ...

Megan Harrington spear headed the project over three years. The final product was very professional and a fabulous show. It will get some traction.

Robin was, as expected, the epitome of class, humility and understatement. The crowd, with a large contingent of former Lady Griz, was fabulous.

There is no question that he deserves a proper permanent imprint in the field house. I say the playing floor.

Selvig Court in Dahlberg Arena at the Adams Center. Who were Dahlberg and Adams anyway?

Yeah, good idea except:

because it leads to the basketball area - replace "5th Street East" & rename it honoring Selvig

That was funny, PR.

How about a triple bronze life-sized statue of Robin, Jud, and Don Read in the Field House lobby? Each was the guy that built the program in their particular sport.
