He's a little busy at the moment.
Gameday is over by 10 am and he has the Blue Bombers in Calgary at 5pm. Plenty of time for my private jet to get him home in time.

Big question is can Gameday tear down the set, and move it to Missoula w/in six days?
Second big question is can they FIND Missoula, let alone Montana on a map??
Third big question is WHERE will all of them stay??? Every room will be booked by now.
First two points are "cute." However, your notion about hotel rooms certainly raises an interesting point.

But these folks are pros and have been doing it for years. I found several articles about the overall logistics of getting 75 people (the core) and four big trucks (there must be more smaller ones, but they were not described) to the next venue. The crew apparently does not know for sure what's next until Sunday. One of their examples was moving from the University of Oregon to the University of South Carolina. For that they had to bring in some extra resources.

In all of that, the issue of accommodations at a site never once came up. I have no clue how they handle that potential problem, but it's apparently something that doesn't much trouble them.

Agreed. I’m sure they have people who figure it out as needed.

They have multiple sets. They also already know the probable locations so they have already proofed the logistics. I promise that they have already been in touch with the places they need to get rooms. The trucks they already own and would have them in route by Monday afternoon. So come Thursday it’s all in Missoula. Friday it’s prepped and put together. It only takes a few hours for the pros that they are.

Hotel rooms are completely sold, but there are a number of large (3-5 BR) homes listed on VRBO within 30 miles of Missoula which could host the crew. They do this show in places like Iowa City, Columbia, MO and Fayetteville. They know how to find accommodations in difficult places.

I'm sure PlayerRep already has them at his lakeside home.

Couple suggestions:

-for a pitch video, see if Barry Anderson could get ahold of the Benny The Bull head (would need subtitles for the vid ;) )

-if Gameday were to come, have Casey Anderson bring Brutus the Bear back to his old stomping grounds

Anybody have the video of Brutus running around WaGriz or the portions they used one year for the entrance vid?

If somehow the stars align and The Griz pull this off, it will be bigger than winning the lotto. The lotto is just dumb luck; any schmoe can do that.

This will take so much more than just luck. Like punching above our weight class, but even bigger. Like landing that super model who loves short, bald guys with hairy beer bellies and no job opportunities.

But for cryin out loud, if we do get Gameday, the guest better not be “part-time” Montanan, Justin fvcking Timberfake!

Pretty sure if you guys could organize a live TV hotdog eating contest similar to the classic between Kobayashi and the Alaska Cruncher, that would seal the deal. Get to it.

I know for a fact they looked into multiple hotels for a block of rooms about a month ago. Sounds like they also reached out to neighboring communities like Polson and Hamilton. But lodging may be the reason on why it doesn’t happen. But really I know nothing.

Most recent update. Sounds like we will know Saturday.

“It was 40 rooms Wednesday. 60 Thursday. 100 Friday. 40. Saturday. It was a pretty brutal proposal as far as hotels are concerned, especially that weekend. They wanted free suites and meeting rooms too. We could do a piece of it, proposed what we could, and nothing happened. They also could cancel all the way until Sunday night. Looking back on it, I wished we would of tried to team of with another hotel. Some might of tried that but nothing I’ve heard. I know paws up even turned it down.”
